Yeah, that's what I'd go with too.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

Your team for tomorrow on 10:14 - Jan 30 by TheBlueGnu

Wilde, Sallis, Owen, Ferguson, Fyfe, Kaplan, Grady, White, Hird, Wharby, Staff - subs: Kwouk, Murphy, Abbot, Gladwin, Freeman, Comer (Last of the Summer Wine team for tomorrow)

If Kathy Staff can iron out the wrinkles in her game (and her stockings) she could yet make that number 9 position her own.

Having said she needs to be playing in front of a solid Yorkshire midfield pairing. We could look to emulate that great Leeds side of 91-92, but we have neither a Kamara, nor a Batty.

Good work by Philogene...... GREAT WORK BY PHILOGENE!!!

Nuñez is injured

Is that confirmed? I thought he, Philogene and Akpom were all expected to be back in training this week and not quite ready for the last game. Nunez I appreciate is a doubt.

Like your choice, Glasgow Blue. How did Mehmeti play at Sheffield. Sadly could not get there?

For the short time he was oin the pitch he looked very good on the ball and very confident.

Agree except Neil who i can't see being dropped straight in. So i think Taylor will be in.

Agree on Azon, think he's pushed ahead of Hirst now.

He didn't see a lot of the ball and was playing on the right rather than #10, which is where I think we'll mostly see him moving forward. What he did do was neat and tidy though. He's a good fit for us, in the Nunez mould. Low centre of gravity, good close control, likes to create and get shots away.

I hope we don't over complicate things from here. For me its either Clarke or Philogene on the left, Nunez or Mehmeti in the 10 and Burns or McAteer on the right. Profile wise that's a nice 2 for each position. Akpom's involvement should be limited to the 9. Egeli getting minutes off the bench. Neil, Matusiwa, Taylor, Cajuste as CM options.

Szmodics probably surplus.

Fairly sure he was in the #10 role at Sheffield Utd.

Burns had already come on and was playing on the right.

You might be right actually, I think Burns came on for Szmodics and Egeli moved inside, then Mehmeti came on for Egeli.

Should be this, but it won't be.

Loyalty to Taylor and Hirst comes first I imagine

We don't know the extent of a few injuries so assuming he's out for a while, although I'm sure it will be confirmed in the press conference within the hour.

Yep!

Maybe have to start Cajuste over Neil but if he looks good enough to go in training just get him in there.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

Good point. Giving the team some extra thought, maybe Ken Kitson and Jean Alexander should be the midfield pairing.

Is this the time to maybe start giving Sindre a few minutes up top particularly if we can get ourselves in a strong match position

Looking back on this team thread I just wish we'd had the balls to do it... we really need our midfield purring and cannot afford those who will not go and grab the game. We definitely need someone having potshots and keeping the keeper honest too. Sindr will be great but the only time he threatened when he did come on was when he went outside his man and that absolutely proved he can do it. We need to create a bit more chaos in the box and that means we have to do unexpected things. I want to see Dan Neil in the team and leading the team forward...... and if we can do that maybe just maybe we'll get more out of us in the stands too... when we finally got fired up today it was fantastic again but sadly we didn't get our magic moment!
