| 528 passes today, of which O'Shea/Kipre made 182. 18:45 - Jan 31 with 2010 views | Blaggers12 | So 35% of our possession was pretty much our two centre backs passing to each other. Burns woefully under used today, and far too pedestrian in breaking down the low block. | |

| 528 passes today, of which O'Shea/Kipre made 182. on 20:27 - Jan 31 by FrimleyBlue | We're not asking oshea to be morsy, driving forwards with the ball into the oponents half, we're asking our cb to slowly bring the ball out and provide varying aspects of ball distribution, some are passes to kipre, some to furlong, some on the diag, some into the channel. We're not asking any midfielder to be a morsy Ohsea, and the backline are doing absolutely what is being requested of them with the ball. It also worked extremely well. we were constantly getting the ball around the preston box. So no it's not nonsense. |
‘oshea is this season what Morsy was in the promo season’ The key part of Morsy’s game in possession was picking the ball up deep and driving with it Also Dara’s passing is shít and everyone can see it, but you’ve been saying otherwise for so long that you have to keep doubling down on it
| 528 passes today, of which O'Shea/Kipre made 182. on 20:37 - Jan 31 with 434 views | jas0999 | KM clearly disagrees or is deluded, but today, yet again we were lacklustre, pedestrian and slow - relying on penalties apparently. | | | |
| 528 passes today, of which O'Shea/Kipre made 182. on 20:46 - Jan 31 with 405 views | cressi | O'Shea can only pass left Furlong and Burns must feel like they are invisible. Also soooo slow on the ball. | | | |

The ball player is what im referring to Chantry, when you compare the two seasons and the two top ball players, that's morsy in that year, oshea this year, hence me saying oshea is this season what morsy was in the promotion season. Oshea's passing isn't shit, he misses some for sure, but because he makes so many of them he will of course make some bad ones. As shown on fotmob, he's 6th for accurate passes and 4th in the league for most successful long balls per 90 mins which isn't bad for a cb! Again, i'd love for a midfielder to take that task on, but it's clearly not how KM wants it done this season

He can’t play the ball in behind. Even his diags which you bang on about are to the player on the left’s feet, but take him so long to play that the opposition are in position by the time it gets there

Why dont you message KM and let him know KM, can you tell oshea not to make long passes to the left side to the feet of of the players who like ball to feet. [Post edited 31 Jan 20:54]

| 528 passes today, of which O'Shea/Kipre made 182. on 20:57 - Jan 31 with 340 views | Tractor_Boy333 | It does feel like O’Shea has to get the ball every time we are in possession. Walton doesn’t seem to want to play the ball quickly turning down any chance of a fast break. Luckily the Preston striker couldn’t finish either or we could have lost by 2-3 goals. It was very frustrating at times today. | | | |
| 528 passes today, of which O'Shea/Kipre made 182. on 08:13 - Feb 1 with 276 views | lazyblue | Mate, watch O’Shea more carefully and don’t assume every pass is side to side. His passing today was outstanding with long cross pitch balls or balls through the press to midfield to set up attacks. | | | |

| 528 passes today, of which O'Shea/Kipre made 182. on 18:51 - Jan 31 by Zx1988 | Most frustrating was watching O'Shea sitting on the ball, waiting for a press that was evidently never going to come. We need a much better Plan B for getting up the pitch when it's evident that the opposition are happy to sit back. |
Absolutely this 100% | | | |

| 528 passes today, of which O'Shea/Kipre made 182. on 19:39 - Jan 31 by homer_123 | Exactly. Again today Preston not interested in pressing, completely denying any space to work through, in or wide. Easy to say 'move the ball quicker' or go in behind but to what? |
Playing the ball in front of the wingers instead of behind or to feet would help. Low ball into the box then quick shot. We were beaten too often by speed last season and beat other teams the same way in the promo season.

| 528 passes today, of which O'Shea/Kipre made 182. on 19:28 - Jan 31 by bsw72 | So explain exactly what the team should be doing then to break down a deep defensive line (I hate the term "low block" - just a new name for something that has always existed), as pumping the ball forward quicker won't work, just means the ball will be lost and just come back quicker . . . |
Against a low block team you have to break quickly when they lose possession in the attack, we sprint two yards see the half way line pass back, pass to keeper team has time to re-set. Also take more shots from outside the box would help too rather than trying to walk the ball into the net. Finally, do stick it long every so often mix it up a bit. O' Shea standing with the ball for 30 seconds before he passes to Kipre then gets it back then to Furlong then to keeper achieves nothing other than risking giving away a chance. Teams know how to play us now we need to do something different.

Oh look, we’re linked with a centre back who can drive with the ball and actually play

| 528 passes today, of which O'Shea/Kipre made 182. on 18:50 - Jan 31 by Kieran_Knows | But when there’s nobody else to pass it to, what else should we do? If O’Shea or Kipre punt it forward and it goes out of play, or the winger or striker mis times their jumps for headers, they get absolute pelters. Where’s the midfield? Who has the b0ll0x to go in and get the ball off one of them and make something happen? I’ve had a season ticket for 18 years, been watching us for 25 years and Cajuste has to be the most over rated player I have ever come across. The bloke does absolutely nothing. Hopefully, and a very big hopefully, Dan Neil has something about him and get us going in the middle of the park because whilst it’s crucial we get a centre forward in on Monday, we are abysmal in centre mid. |
Exactly this I’d forgotten Cajuste was playing yesterday …criminal really

Erm. Yeah as cover which would then have allowed baggot to go out on loan. I know you really dont like oshea but your gripe is with km not the player. Hes doing his job. But just to clarify. You think we are after a 33 year old cb to replace our captain? [Post edited 1 Feb 10:19]

Think he plays more on the left side of the 2 centre backs. But no, I think it shows he’s not happy with the way we play from the back.

| 528 passes today, of which O'Shea/Kipre made 182. on 20:13 - Jan 31 by chantryblueboy | Complete nonsense. Morsy was able to drive with the ball which meant that he himself could be a threat, so teams couldn’t just stand off and let him have it - which is exactly what they do to O’Shea because he can’t |
He was also very strong on the ball at this level, which meant we could make ground without getting tackled. Azor, who is much better at breaking up play, doesn't have that same ability to drive forward with the ball.

No it doesnt it shows hed like an experienced keogh type cb who could come in be w good cover option allowing greaves to be an option at lb and cb and allows baggott to out on loan. Or are you now saying the issue isnt oshea. Its kipre?
