When I first started going to Town games in the early to mid 70s they were an oddly insignificant team.
They played in an unusual coloured kit that no felt pen could quite replicate when I used draw footy kits to colour in as a kid…. I know, but we didn’t have internet and our Radio Rentals tv always packed up in the colder weather when you couldn’t go out and kick a ball about with your mates.
Had a couple of top players, Leighton James being the most memorable, but they always just sort of existed as a name in the league table.
Fifty years later and they’re still a team I couldn’t care less about and always avoid if they’re live on tv.
In that respect, Scott Parker is perfect for them. |  |

A couple generations of fans, who don’t care about what happened in the 70s and early 80s, probably think we are a pointless boring club. As we’ve spent the vast majority of the past last thirty years being also-runs in whatever league we’ve played in. |  | | |
