Isn’t their another charge though they’re facing ?

Wasn’t there also talk of a penalty from the EFL on top of this from the PL?

20th doesn’t put them in a relegation spot and their goal difference is better than the two clubs below them on same points.

I think so - or rather, I hope so - sets a bad precedent if they don’t get a very serious kicking on this one given how they have acted - and six points doesn’t feel like a particularly significant kicking in their current circumstances | | | | Login to get fewer ads

It would also be ironic if the combination was enough to relegate them whilst each individual one wouldn't have been after they argued their way out of it initially on the basis of the two leagues being under different jurisdictions.

My kingdom for Geoff Horsfield - although he only managed a couple of goals for them.

| 6 Points for Leicester (n/t) on 17:56 - Feb 5 with 1214 views | SuffolkPunchFC | This is the only the 1st charge they were being investigated for. An EFL one is likely to follow (they were waiting to see the result of the PL investigation) Edit - been trying to unpick this. What was said last years is: Leicester will face three separate charges this time: breaching the PSR limit in season 2023-24 when the club was last in the Championship; failing to file their annual accounts with the Premier League before the December 31 deadline; breaching an explicit rule in the League's handbook which gives all clubs an "obligation to provide full, complete and prompt assistance to the Premier League." So this seems to roll up the sanctions into 1 (the TWTD article does suggest this), in which case 6 points does seem very light. [Post edited 5 Feb 18:18]

I wouldn't be so sure of that. They are currently 22nd in the form table, with only West Brom and Sheffield Wednesday performing worse.

They have flouted the financial rules so many times I believe snd constantly walk away from any punishment. 6 it's as punishment? They must have someone at the EFL on their payroll. Theyre bent as a 9 job note at that that club...

Some tough games coming up but I can’t see it. I think they’ll flirt with it but ultimately be safe.

Basically, like Forest, it pays to turn a blind eye to PSR and just go for it.

| 6 Points for Leicester (n/t) on 08:41 - Feb 6 with 109 views | BseaBlue | Andy Goldstein made a good point on Talksport last night about it being cheating and that actually, we could have won the championship in 23/24 had they followed the rules properly. The way the financial auditing takes place makes everything too slow. I appreciate this probably has to tie in with regulations, but it doesn't seem right that the punsihment will end up benefitting other teams, as opposed to the ones that were cheated in the season where it occurred. | | | |

Looks like the PL wanted them to have a 20 point deduction, but the EFL watered it down significantly. Interesting that the most vocal "independent" expert out there, Kieran Maguire, is highlighting all those areas where Leicester might feel hard done by. He is waving the flag for those teams trying to break into the "big leagues", which is good, but I also think he is far too close to Nick De Marco, the LCFC lawyer, to be considered an impartial voice out there. I would be amazed if LCFC appeal this ruling - this must be their best case scenario.
