Also loved the post match interview when Leif said he'd asked him after the Bristol City match if he was joining and Anis apparently replied "yep, looks that way."
Must have been an incredibly weird feeling playing against a team you are joining imminently, but shows he's a top pro for still putting the shirt on and respecting his employers.

He’s surprised me in the 10 role, I have to say. Having only really ever seen him when he’s played out wide, I was sceptical how he’d fit in the 10 as they’re generally our ‘link’ man, and didn’t think he’d suit that ala Akpom and Szmodics.
Very wrong, looks every bit of a number 10 with the way he gets us going in the middle and suspect that’s why McKenna longed out the Chaplin loan extension to get him through the door. |  |

Agree on the head up part, also saw elements of that in Dan Neil’s game as well. Driving with the ball from midfield which we’ve missed a little since Morsy left.

That's a very good point as I actually thought he was looking more dangerous the longer he was on the pitch, as they started to tire.
The thing I like most about him is that he has that Clarke, Philogene instinct where you can see that whenever he finds space, he is trying his utmost to set himself for a shot. Definitely gives us a different perspective. |  | | |
