I get the logic of a draw but I think I'd like to see a comfortable Boro win and boos ringing around the CBSA. All isn't well at Cov, they're away at West Brom next who have shown a bit of resolve in their last couple of league games, followed by a tough trip to Sheff United. I'm here for them getting 1 point from the next 3 and being on 60 points from 34.

….as long as Cov don’t win we should be relatively happy. I can’t see Cov getting near them to be honest.

| Coventry v Boro on ITV4 Tonight on 11:17 - Feb 16 with 1228 views | gainsboroughblue | I'm still of the mind that a draw is the best result here but until May, you're not going to to know, without hindsight, what you really want from it. I remember in the League One promotion season a lot on here were hoping for Barnsley to lose to Sheff Weds as the Tykes were absolutely flying and looked the most in form and likely side to gatecrash the top two besides us and the Owls. In the end, Barnsley did win but they fell off a cliff again after that and it was those three points Weds dropped that massively helped us. (Not to mention them losing in a small Gloucestershire village too). | |

No thanks, I would much rather Boro win and we keep in touch with Coventry

| Coventry v Boro on ITV4 Tonight on 14:21 - Feb 16 with 665 views | BouncebackIpswich | Draw for me, it won't take much for Cov to start picking up momentum again, and there's no guarantee that Boro don't dip with the pressure if being front runners I'd rather they both remain catchable so there's double the chance of catching one or the other. | | | |

That would be the prefered result. We went 2nd just 5 games ago but since then Boro have outperformed us by 5 points. Not inconceivable that wee can reverse that over the course of gthe season but Coventry are in freefall so easier to catch. Would like to win the league though.

If West Brom take anything off Cov I'd be grateful. Both sides have highly dubious recent form, and I guess stranger things have happened. Resolve, perhaps, but WBA have no wins in 2026, and haven't scored in their last 2 home games, including that 0-5 against Norwich. Three points from their last 8 league games! Having got 10 points from their first 4 league games, this is quite the comedown. But then yeah, they have more points in their last 3 league games than Cov do, Cov have lost their last 4 away games in all competitions, and haven't won away since November (against Boro)!
| Coventry v Boro on ITV4 Tonight on 15:47 - Feb 16 with 419 views | thorpedo | A draw would be best for us - 2 points dished out instead of 3. Still too much of the season to go to pick a preferred winner/loser. | |

That's certainly true but I think its always hard to compare form through a period in which there's been a managerial change. Eric Ramsay may or may not do well there, but 1 thing he does need is a bit of time. He's of a new school and will have his own ideas over things, it'll take more than a month to get those across. They've picked up a result in 3 of their last 5 in the league, and the last 2 league results are a 0-0 against Stoke and 0-0 at St Andrews which is a tough place to go. I don't make them favourites to beat Cov by any stretch, but it wouldn't surprise me greatly if they get something. As you say Cov aren't travelling well either. I'm pretty relaxed on tonight, there's pros and cons both ways, but I do think a humbling Cov defeat puts a hell of a lot of pressure on an already under pressure squad and manager. After WBA its then Sheff United away, it could be a testing period. After that they all start to look tough in that form, the likes of Bristol City, Derby, Preston, Hull etc aren't easy games. To my mind they look like the ones most likely to fall away.
