We needed 6 wins and a draw - and we have a draw against the best team (second half) we’ve played Time to stick together and circle the wagons Brum now a must win

But we weren’t were we ? Second half they were the best team this season at PR. We let it slip because unlike Neil, McKenna can’t blo0dy change his system to suit what is happening on the pitch.
| Some times you’ve got to take your hat off to the opposition on 15:01 - Mar 21 with 1479 views | Churchman | Every game is a ‘must win’, but today was about not losing and hoping to match Boro’s result. There are worst points in the world, though I’ve no doubt the soilers will be out in force over the next few days. I thought Millwall were big, robust, fit and well organised. A real handful and they deserved a draw in the end. In the first half, I thought we might overwhelm them or at least tire them for the subs to impact. We played well and in particular Matusiwa and Clarke were outstanding. Mehmeti troubled them too. I like Neil. He’s a good player but at times no real game time before coming to us shows a little. I’d sign him in a heartbeat. Good character too. But looking at the bench, we looked a tad light for options given, JP is way off match fitness. So, a good, interesting game, a bit of a disappointing result but the first order of business was not to lose the game. Hopefully, a little break will get a few fit and there’s another game struck off Davis’ ludicrous ban - though I thought Johnson was decent. Thinking of that! The monster up front deliberately stepped on O’Shea’s ankle when they tangled on the side line in the first half. I presume he will get a three match ban for deliberate foul play? No, thought not | | | |

Today was about matching Boros result was it ? I wish you had told everyone that before hand. We would all have been so much happier………..What utter bobbins. Course it wasn’t. Today was about trying to get the result in case Boro slipped up again, which they did. But we didn’t take the advantage yet again. Boro won’t keep slipping up, they have given us a lot of chances to get ahead of them now. We can’t seem to take them and Im beginning to think we havent got it in us. The Stoke game was shambolic at best for example. Second half today Neil did a number on McKenna, because difference is, Neil can change things up. McKenna can’t or wont ,take your pick.

Dreadful in the second, not helped by their manager making a tactical change and ours incapable of countering it. Second half showing simply wasn’t good enough at all levels. Both strikers poor in that period.

You might consider my view ‘utter bobbins’. I consider it an opinion. One that you clearly disagree with which you are entitled to do. Of course the objective is to win games. Everyone from an expert like you to someone whose views are utter bobbins like me knows that. But given it’s real sport with two teams battling to win, not FM25, if you cannot win don’t lose, especially to a rival team. I make no apologies for that view. It works providing you beat lesser sides. I believe matching another rival’s result is also important. They failed v Blackburn, us and Millwall against each other. Who is the happier? That depends on whether you are a half full or half empty merchant and whether you take any consideration of the opposition. Maybe we don't have it in us to get out of this division. Time will tell. But maybe we do, despite those on here hating the team and manager. I wonder who is top of the haters list today? Hirst and McAteer. What do you think? As for McKenna, I believe he will only be with us couple of months more, so don’t worry. [Post edited 21 Mar 15:42]

He didn’t feel Millwall were outstanding, he felt they locked on man for man second half and threw the kitchen sink at us. But for me their energy and press and desire was outstanding, three of their defenders fell to the floor at the final whistle. Game of opinions, not ‘rewriting history’. And I disagree with you and McKenna. For me you have to praise Millwall in that second half, it took real desire and commitment to put that shift in. The biggest shift we’ve seen from a visiting team at PR this season. Where I do agree with McKenna is that we just didn’t convert the attacking movements in the second half when we broke at them and at times outnumbered them. This is a problem of this season, and needs to be addressed or we may miss out. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Once they got to grips in the 2nd half, we got out fought, out muscled and bullied. Seems we haven't learned even now. Same as Sheff U away. It's a legitimate part of the game.

| Some times you’ve got to take your hat off to the opposition on 06:47 - Mar 22 with 672 views | iamatractorboy | Millwall in that second half resembled what we came up against in the PL last season in some ways: big, strong, pacy, organised. Obviously their players don't have the PL level of skill (generally speaking) and their finishing wasn't quite as ruthless, but the setup was reminiscent. Which re-emphasises for me that the current squad we have will not be good enough if we were to go straight back up (to state the obvious). | | | |

Amazing turnaround herby old boy. I agree with you. First half we wanted it, scored a goal thought we'd won, second half too weak.

It's whatever happens at half time is the issue. KM seems unable to react to any shape change/tactic change by opposition. We wanted it first half, they did in the second, a draw a fair result but that double chance at the end we could have easily lost. We really need to work on our final ball which was largely dreadful.
