I one million percent agree it's not a great look for the club to be seen to be taking sides politically, but i think that applies to ALL politicians not just Nigel Farage. BUT as long as the same access would be given to those other policitcal leaders should they decide to visit then theres literally nothing to see here ....

Essentially I agree that the club should be completely neutral when it comes to politics. I’d be annoyed if Starmer or Badenoch or even the Greens promoted themselves using the club.
The issue I have is that the rhetoric that Farage promotes is completely counter active to the clubs policy of inclusivity. And all his quotes on immigration, LGTBQ+ issues and race are openly available in the public forum. That’s why I’m more annoyed than I would be if it were another politician. | | | |

As I’ve said in a response to another post on here, I’d be irritated if any political party used ITFC as a marketing tool.

With respect you don’t need to have political opinions to know what Farage preaches goes against the club’s policy of inclusivity. I don’t reveal my political allegiances publically, but people across the political spectrum feel the same about Farage. As i've said twice now - i don't think the club should be entertaining ANY politicians - football and politics should not mix - simple as that.
I also get people are angry about it - again fine, you're allowed to be angry, annoyed whatever you feel about it
But seriously, emailing the club chairman ? encouraging as many people as you can to spam him ? The club have been played by Farage and Reform.
If it was an official visit planned with the club, then it would have been all over Reform’s social media in advance, but it wasn’t.
They have basically booked a stadium tour, most likely not even in Farage’s name, and then made it out to be an official engagement.
Yet again underhand and deceitful behaviour by Frogface and Co but it hurts because it devalues everything the club stands for in my opinion.
I don’t feel the club can be blamed particularly as they are having to react in a difficult situation as he is an elected MP and will happily attempt to twist any negative press to his favour with his usual no more free speech b0ll0x etc. [Post edited 24 Mar 10:59]
