The statement is pathetic and confirmed my worst fears. No other club to my knowledge has put themselves in this position. Kick it out? What a joke. I’m heartbroken.

Grow up and get some nuts
I’ve supported this club for 37 years. They’ve trampled over our proud heritage. I don’t have a football club anymore. Farage represents everything that football should not be. I want no part of any organisation that would facilitate this. Grow your own nuts if you think punching down on minorities is something the club should facilitate.

To be honest the whole season is leaving a sour taste. The moronic 'fans' who have been so entitled and haven't supported the team, the toxic element attending away games with Fashanu chant rearing its ugly head again, the social media lot whob delight in slagging off players for attention...
And now this.
I hope KM and players do it despite all of the above. But I totally see where you're coming from.

I take it you will be leaving the Ipswich Town forum then if you are no longer an Ipswich Town fan.

Yeah but....
.....or something!
"They break our legs and tell us to be grateful when they offer us crutches."
The morals and what the club stands for is more important by far than success. I've supported Town since the 60s before Bobby Robson became manager. I'm proud of everything the club has stood for over all those decades. The Cobbolds, Sir Bob, the people who have cherished the values of fairness, community, inclusivity and diversity. Those values are completely ingrained in what ITFC means to me. I'd rather support Ipswich in L1 or wherever we happen to be but retaining those values than aligning ourselves with populist right wing extremists and playing in the Champions League. If that was what I wanted, I'd be supporting a club like Man Utd or Chelsea. This just is not Ipswich, and whoever made that decision needs to be sacked, because they simply don't understand what this club is all about. Whether it is one of the owners, the CEO, or another high ranking official, I don't care. They don't belong at my club. We need to know how this happened and who was responsible.

You wish eternal despair on the club because why, exactly?
What club? I’ve coached grassroots football for over a decade. We promote tolerance, respect, inclusion. The club has just promoted a politician that represents the opposite of all of that. If those at the top of the club deem that acceptable then I can no longer support the club. Principals matter. It’s hard enough to stomach modern football without this.
I know I’m getting pelted for this stance but I can’t help how I feel.

Well, with your title the solution is an obvious, easy one isn’t it. If you attend games, you can put your ticket up for resale, cancel the DD, leave TWTD and maybe follow local football or Col U if you live in the area. Sorted.
Voting with the wallet is what broke Ratner after he flapped his mouth.
If enough people do the same, the owners will be driven out, will sell up and we will be back where we were at the end of ‘our saviour Evans’ time. Heading for oblivion. And given your hopes, you will presumably be cheering that outcome on.
All for renting out a function room to a nothing like Farage.

So nothing matters as long as we’re successful? This doesn’t matter because Marcus Evan’s was rubbish? What’s the point in that?

Fair enough. Seems misplaced, though, to ditch a lifetime of support because of one misstep.
Easy tiger. I share the annoyance. Someone mentioned earlier that they are apparently visiting Norwich next/soon. I wouldn’t be surprised if we’ve started a trend and they end up doing the 92*, as they clearly, and correctly, see some football supporters as fertile ground.
*a slight exaggeration, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some sort of grifting football club tour. With a bit of luck our reaction to this will make other clubs think twice.

I’m just suggesting the easy way forward for you and the potential consequences of enough people following your lead.
If this club falls into oblivion you’ve made it clear you don’t care - ‘I hope we never go up now’.
That’s fine. We are all entitled to an opinion and if you hope a football club should ‘never go up’ the alternative is oblivion.
Personally it seems a little harsh to take away a football club from 1000s of people because the club allowed a politician to use a function room. But hey, that’s just my view.
