No. You can clearly see this has caused a rift in the fan base and caused a hugely unnecessary distraction reaction eight games away from the end of the season.
Mark Ashton acted on his ego, and not in the best interest of the club or fans. And then, after knowing it had caused a hugely unnecessary divide in the fans, approved a statement essentially saying it was the right thing to do, and given the chance, he’d do it again.

You are correct if it had been racist Corbyn there would be some on here currently calling for Ashton's sacking taking the opposite approach, but that's politics, one person's racist is another person's hero.
However in this situation the important point is the vast majority would still be, rightly, pissed off about the lying.
