| Great result. Ashton out! (n/t) on 18:05 - Apr 12 by GlasgowBlue | I'm firmly in the Ashton out camp. He's brought the club into disrepute. But to call Churchman an apologist is extremely insulting. He's one of the most balanced posters on here. |
Wasn’t Harry Houdini an apologist?? 😃 Anyway, thanks GB. I’ve never been called an apologist before. A new experience. And yes, it was insulting/rude.

| Great result. Ashton out! (n/t) on 18:06 - Apr 12 by positivity | you came on here just to see if people were still upset about our chairman inviting a racist mp to portman road, then lying and incompetently covering it up? then if they were, you'd abuse them? on the weekend itfc had it's first derby double in 33 years? that's one of the saddest things i've seen on here! |
Honest question , can you read ? I ask, because what you just posted suggests you cant. Nice to see NOTHING changes, been interesting reading other people's views on the great and good on this site. Anyway, I bid you good evening. Im going back to observing rather than participating, I will leave that to our yellow friends.

try participating in one of the many threads talking about the football, rather than just serially abusing people. you might enjoy it more. you're behaving very oddly

| Great result. Ashton out! (n/t) on 13:57 - Apr 12 by The_Flashing_Smile | eh? I don't have a comment to make on Ed Sheeran's manager. I do know that Town send out Christmas messages every year, so I responded to that. Is there some sort of law I don't know about, that if you want to respond to an erroneous comment you have to respond to every other comment that poster made as well? |
Same as ever Dollers, never change! You do know he spoke on behalf of Ed don't you? Great result. Ashton out! (n/t) at 10:32 12 Apr 2026 Is there any evidence this episode has detrimentally affected the sponsors? [Post edited 12 Apr 19:12]

| Great result. Ashton out! (n/t) on 16:44 - Apr 12 by The_Flashing_Smile | They may well be shocked and pissed off. That doesn't mean it has "detrimentally affected" their businesses. And it doesn't mean our chances of attracting future sponsors has been "detrimentally affected" either. I imagine most future sponsors won't have even heard about it, or cared. It's fine to be annoyed about this still, and it's fine to want Ashton to go. But there's no need to make up additional reasons to try to strengthen the case. It's strong enough already. If sponsors were pulling out of the club, or if potential sponsors were cancelling their interest because of it, it would get out. There's no evidence of any of that, so far. |

A lot of energy? It took about 10 seconds while watching the golf. There is no debate to add to. It's been done to death. Some are over it. Some aren't. I respect anyone who is going to stay away over this. If Town do complete the job I hope you change your mind and go to the QPR game to see that moment.

What does this even mean? Just more meaningless soundbites because you don't have an actual answer. I haven't moved anything, I've just rigidly stuck to needing evidence that brands have been harmed, or brands thinking of coming aboard has pulled out.

The point isn't specific to this thread, but you know that. You always aim your limitless wit at the same side on this and similar things but you carry on doing you. Pretty sure I'll be watching that one on TV although I do also have a particularly busy day lined up. You can keep my season ticket warm for me if he doesn't go if you fancy it.

One last time Dolly before I give up too. As an expert in the field would you say the amount we can charge for brand association is now higher, lower or the same as before the Ashton debacle and do you think more, less or about the same number of brands will be competing for that association? Same question about potential signings if you fancy getting out of your area of expertise. [Post edited 12 Apr 21:53]
