| Mehmeti 20:55 - Apr 6 with 4372 views | Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior | What did everyone make of him today? After such an incredible start here he’s looking to do a little bit too much for me lately. Won some important free kicks but was looking for them at times as well. Probably not the easiest game to come into. Not sure him and Nunez (playing behind him) is really going to work at the same time through the middle. [Post edited 6 Apr 20:58]

| Mehmeti on 21:03 - Apr 6 with 3378 views | NthQldITFC | Yeah. He brings a really important spark to our play, but needs to release the ball a little sooner often. We certainly won't bully anybody with those two as part of the triangle of three in the middle, but they can certainly make things happen. We've got Taylor & Neil as a more robust pair for Saturday behind either Mehmeti or Nunez, if superman Matu is out - but I expect he'll play anyway. | |

| Mehmeti on 21:03 - Apr 6 with 3374 views | portmanking | He's irritating to watch IMO. I don't think I've seen another player hold onto the ball for so long when obvious options are on. Unfortunately for him, there's not a chance that he's PL quality. Will more than likely be loaned back to a Champ club IMO. | | | |
| Mehmeti on 21:04 - Apr 6 with 3361 views | Blue_Moses | I thought he was poor and even suggested taking him off for Philogene. That's just based on today though. | | | |
| Mehmeti on 21:04 - Apr 6 with 3346 views | Radlett_blue | Yes, he's sometimes greedy & over-ambitious, rather than playing the simple pass, but he's also a player likely to unlock defences, especially with his runs in behind. Didn't have his best game today, but came into his own in the last few minutes when he was great at retaining the ball and/or winning a free kick. | |

Couldn't disagree more. His energy and movement made a big difference to our midfield.
| Mehmeti on 21:08 - Apr 6 with 3248 views | mellowblue | very good first half when we had the ball and were looking to fight back. Second half when we had less possession, was a little anonymous at times. Worked hard and put a decent shift in. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
| Mehmeti on 21:08 - Apr 6 with 3250 views | SomethingBlue | Bringing him on was actually a very good decision by McKenna, we were behind in the game and for the 10-15 min after that they simply couldn't handle our movement and variation. Fair play, KM could have just put Taylor on. But it was a less good change for when we needed to manage things later, never really helped us stitch anything together and went down too many blind alleys. | |

| Mehmeti on 21:12 - Apr 6 with 3189 views | Bellevue_Blue | I thought he was ok. Brought real spark to the comeback, pressed hard but wasn't as effective as we know he can be on the ball. I don't think we can expect home to carry on at the rate he was going at. He will score some important goals in the next 7 no doubt. | | | |

I'm not sure more than one or two from today's lineup would

He's too slow. Doesn't release it until it's too late. Second touch is often a tackle. The only thing he's been useful for lately is buying us cheap free kicks. He's never PL quality in a month of Sunday's.

Of course he should, be ridiculous to suggest otherwise, he has real quality and can make things happen. There are plenty of examples of players who step up from the championship to the prem and do well and he'll be one of our star performers in the prem if we get there

If you think Mehmeti touch is bad then I hate to think what you make of Hirsts. SB

Even worse? | | | |
| Mehmeti on 21:24 - Apr 6 with 2978 views | itfcsuth | Wasn’t at his best today, but overall has been such an important addition for us since January. Just a natural number 10, not sure we have any others in the squad to be honest. | | | |

He's been hugely ineffective for the last 6-7 games. Bright start to his career in Feb, but he's not really impacting games at all right now IMO. If promoted, I would expect buying a serious number 10 and 9 combo would be our top priority. [Post edited 6 Apr 21:35]

To my knowledge, he’s never been linked to a PL club or even a parachute one (could be wrong) but we’ve taken advantage of his contract situation and he’s had some really good games for us.

Think he’s going to be a bit better away with some space but yeah, running down a few blind alleys recently. The most frustrating one was against Millwall when Clarke was there all alone and he just refused to release him.

Is he though? He doesn't have *any* pace to really capitalise on any space in front of him. He's good at manipulating the ball in tight areas, but recent matches have seriously passed him by IMO.

Yeah there’s a reason why maybe he has been no higher then Bristol during his career in terms of a stater but I think he can make things happen against teams that are not so compact, Derby being a decent example.

Absolutely right. The tempo increased as soon as he came on and we scored twice soon afterwards.

To be fair, Hirst's first touch was generally a lot better today.

Certainly some truth in that, even the winner against Hull originally came from him trying to make something happen.
