| Hay Baldies..advice please 17:45 - Apr 13 with 1902 views | BlacknGoldnBlue | I've reached an age when my flowing locks no longer flow. So yesterday I shaved my head and I'm quite happy with the result. However, I would like advice on how often you shave your head? Any tips? Which is better, a wet shave or electric razor? How about aftercare? Help a new baldie out! | |

I use a "Palm" skull shaver - typically under 50 quid anywhere online - just shaving foam and go for it, no nicks no cuts - takes about 10 mins for a full shave
| Hay Baldies..advice please on 17:59 - Apr 13 with 1555 views | gtsb1966 | Depends how short you want it. I shave mine all off and use this everyday. Does your face as well. All done in 5 mins and no foam needed. https://www.next.co.uk/style/s [Post edited 13 Apr 18:00]

Does that just leave smooth and no stubble. Don't need for face as have beard. I initially wet-shaved in bath and its a nice smooth feel to it.

| Hay Baldies..advice please on 18:29 - Apr 13 with 1391 views | Clutch | Get a skull shaver, doesn’t need to be super expensive. I do it dry, then wet. Doesn’t take long. Do it maybe twice a week. | | | |
| Hay Baldies..advice please on 18:52 - Apr 13 with 1323 views | The_Flashing_Smile | I've been using a regular electric razor for years, a Philips Series 3000. Probably well out of date now, but still does a great job. No need for foam or anything for me. Once every 10-12 days. | |

| Hay Baldies..advice please on 20:54 - Apr 13 with 897 views | NewcyBlue | Wet shave 2-3x a week. Bald boss do an excellent moisturiser for after that also takes away the shine. I often forget to use it. I find a shower head that adjusts to one of those strong jets to be best for rinsing the razor. My preferred razor is the Gillette Fusion 5, it’s the best one I’ve used. | |

| Hay Baldies..advice please on 09:08 - Apr 14 with 415 views | DBaldy | Welcome to the club. As my username would suggest I'm also follicly challenged! I guess it depends on if you want it smooth all over like Duncan Goodhew, or more of a Harry Hill "keep it very short but can't be @rsed to shave it more than once a week" look. I go for the Harry option myself, shave it every weekend with clippers and then wet shave the top of the dome to get those 4 or 5 hairs which still grow. And I've been using an aloe based aftersun/moisturiser for years, which seems to have had the added effect of reducing forehead wrinkles and lines around my eyes! For those mentioning the Skullshaver - I have a large mole on the back of my head, plus a few other lumps and bumps, so would one of those work for me when my current clippers give up, or would I be risking taking the top off them? | | | |

| Hay Baldies..advice please on 10:20 - Apr 14 with 296 views | Giant_Midget | Congrats, bald is a far better look than balding! Having had these conversations with other baldies for a few years, your shaving routine will become quite personal and may take a bit of trial and error depending on how sensitive your skin is. Personally I use a foil shaver (Braun S9). along with shaving gel in the shower and follow this up with an aftershave product that contains tea tree oil. The most important thing is to remember you now have some skin that has likely not seen the light of day since you were an infant. So make sure you use a moisturising product that contains SPF, go for 50 in the summer month and 30 the rest of the year. BldBro is what I use and like a lot. [Post edited 14 Apr 10:24]

| Hay Baldies..advice please on 10:21 - Apr 14 with 287 views | darkhorse28 | In the shower, Harry’s razor, two minutes if that with practise, quick mirror check, moisturise (bald bros or similar) and a lollipop for that authentic Kojak look. Then don’t forget your taser before you leave the house because the boys/girls will be all over you like Ian Marshall on a loose back pass - good luck …, you’ll need condoms, box of 500 should get you through the first week. | | | |
