Correctly through hear say that we are about to start adding 7000 seats to be Installed onto the west stand , as soon as the season ends ? With those seats occupied by Portman stand ST holders , then work to begin on said stand ? I’m curious if anyone else has heard same info .
Strange as this rumour started from the guy who does the ground tours , some friends were told on the tour last weekend .
We were told it on a tour a couple of weeks before F****e and co visited the club too. The implication was that they were going to go up another level in the pioneer as a temporary fix. Don’t know if that impacts what planning permission would be required?
That will be the plan, unsure on capacity, but they cannot start after the QPR game unless they take a huge risk proceeding without planning permission already in place. They do however have form for pressing ahead with some works without planning in place the darth vader helmet Sky box over the tunnel I believe was built without planning being in place.
Where would they go? I'm struggling to visualise it.

I understand that they're wanting to re-do the roof in order to get rid of the restricted views brought about by the stanchions, and will add in extra seats at the same time.
With the recent history of one or two things having been done via retrospective permission, it may be that they've had pre-application chats with the Council that have suggested that planning/retrospective planning could be fairly straightforward, which could embolden them to go ahead as soon as they can.

It's one thing taking the risk of building without final permission if it's kitting out internals of the Stadium on projects worth a few million each at best. It's a whole different kettle of fish doing so when talking significantly expanding one of the largest and most visible structures in the entire town which will be in the order of probably £100m.
You don't risk that sort of money on hopes and subtle winks.

Maybe the club will just deny it at first, then offer a half baked non-apology to the council for not applying for planning permission whilst saying that there are a lot of claims surrounding the extension that are not true, then say nothing further in the hope the council will soon just forget about it?
Stadium redevelopment the next stage after the training ground - been reported there has been some discussion with the council and you would hope the relationship is strong enough to enable the project to go ahead at a fast enough rate to have it available for next season. Will be weird having a three sided PR for a season! Would lose some revenue with the hospitality too which would be quite significant should we be in the big league next year

That sounds like a good idea. Maybe they should try it out with something else first, just to see if it's workable!
