Thought he looked great in that slightly advanced role.

You have to wonder why he hasn't played for so long.

Absolutely always looked like creating something, has that defence splitting pass we have missed so often. Feel he will play a part saturday

Also a strong ball carrier. Nunez is a fine technician but he doesn’t have that and there were numerous occasions tonight where it showed.

I think he did well when he came on.

Nunez was awful tonight though.

Núñez gave the ball away far too often. Jens was classy, albeit only in brief.

I think there must be an appearance clause? Either a further fee or perhaps even committing to sign him? I can't remember the details of the loan when he signed. I imagine we are now at a point where he won't hit it even if he plays a part in all remaining fixtures. I just can't see why else we wouldn't even have been bringing him off the bench in the last month or so.

I thought he might come on tonight, as this is the type of opposition and game he does better in.

Yes, he was.

As he glided by the people as they started to look and stare.

When he signed last August the EADT said this:

"The EADT and Ipswich Star understands the loan fee is €1m (£870k), while there will be an obligation to buy, in the event of promotion, for €6.5m (£5.6m)."

I think he's a very classy player and one who could do a lot for us next season, whereever that may be, so even if we're not promoted, I hope we still buy him.

Equally, I thought that having Wes Burns back made a huge difference, too.

Exciting times!

If we didn’t want to play him because we don’t want to hit a clause, why would we bother putting him on the bench?

Yeah, there's a world of difference between playing him as a 10 for 15 mins against tired legs and playing him from the start in the double pivot. Fair play to him though, he drove us on in that final period.

I don't know, I was just speculating as the fact we haven't been using him at all has seemed odd. Perhaps if he was a few games off the hypothetical clause McKenna might have had him on the bench in case he was absolutely needed due to an injury or something.

I thought so, and also thought Neil played better after he came on
