Also a strong ball carrier. Nunez is a fine technician but he doesn’t have that and there were numerous occasions tonight where it showed.

Núñez gave the ball away far too often. Jens was classy, albeit only in brief.

I think there must be an appearance clause? Either a further fee or perhaps even committing to sign him? I can't remember the details of the loan when he signed. I imagine we are now at a point where he won't hit it even if he plays a part in all remaining fixtures. I just can't see why else we wouldn't even have been bringing him off the bench in the last month or so. [Post edited 28 Apr 22:33]

Yes, he was. As he glided by the people as they started to look and stare.

When he signed last August the EADT said this: "The EADT and Ipswich Star understands the loan fee is €1m (£870k), while there will be an obligation to buy, in the event of promotion, for €6.5m (£5.6m)." I think he's a very classy player and one who could do a lot for us next season, whereever that may be, so even if we're not promoted, I hope we still buy him. Equally, I thought that having Wes Burns back made a huge difference, too. Exciting times!

If we didn’t want to play him because we don’t want to hit a clause, why would we bother putting him on the bench?

| Cajuste on 22:54 - Apr 28 with 1100 views | portmanking | Yeah, there's a world of difference between playing him as a 10 for 15 mins against tired legs and playing him from the start in the double pivot. Fair play to him though, he drove us on in that final period. | | | |

I don't know, I was just speculating as the fact we haven't been using him at all has seemed odd. Perhaps if he was a few games off the hypothetical clause McKenna might have had him on the bench in case he was absolutely needed due to an injury or something.
