As for John Cobbold he had no problem taking a monkey into the Boardroom of a northern club whose directors (non drinkers) he had nothing in common with and introducing it as a member of the Board. He was also happy to tell those he had no time for to b*gger off. Heck, we are all different, screw up from time to time and nobody’s perfect (apart from me 😃).
But would I have done the Delia song bit? Well I’ve no time for the old bat, especially after her near death experience with the empty beer can in 2024, but I wouldn’t have taken part in that if I’d been a player, Chairman, CEO etc or the nobody that I actually am. Not really into that sort of thing.
