Saw his interview with talksport and the mention of our transfer spending last time came up.
Would it possibly be better with such a vast amount of talent coming to their contract expiries, to utilise our prem TV money on maybe 5/6 wow free transfers, but of course heavy wages and then a bit on the remaining requirements.
Even talksport mentioned Jones as an example. Now not saying that is possible, but is that the sort of thing we really do need to try and be in the market for and the cost is just something we really need to pay.

I imagine you have a relegation clause in contract. Also if you have a player on a free Paying big wages I imagine you could sell for less than his worth and recoup the wages paid plus a bit more.
Relegation clauses are exactly the problem.
The kind of players we are after often won’t come to a club like us on (say) a three year contract with a relegation clause, because they fear we will go down, and then they’ll be stuck playing in the Championship on Championship wages. They might get a move back to the PL, but they might not.
Instead they either stay where they are or move to club they judge are less likely to go down.

Some of the South Korean's seem to be pretty impressive and there aren't many in the PL. The ones that do come over seem to have great culture and their work rate is top class.
Nearly 200million population between them, just by numbers alone there has to be some gems.
Brighton have recruited well from the far east.

I’d be looking at the Austrian Bundesliga. RB Salzburg selling 2 defenders for £20m each to Brentford and Dortmund. So much talent in that league. I’d be looking at the Eredivisie also, another division where talent is so much cheaper than shopping in the UK.
Germany and France also.
There's so much talent in France. Kroupi was scoring loads in Ligue 2 at 17 / 18 and B'muff managed to get him for £10m. He's been great for them, still only 19.
Gessime Yassine is meant to be good, right sided as well. Only joined Strasbourg in Jan though so not sure if he'd be available.

IMHO we absolutely have to get 2 or 3 prem hardened players in, one being a striker and a couple of MF's. Plus a Hackney or too from the champ. I wouldn't be averse to an experienced defender and keeper.

Well, quite. But Akpom was a pretty ‘household’ name to Championship clubs. I’m thinking more along the lines of Robin Roefs or Brian Brobbey, who Sunderland signed last summer who have been fantastic for them.
Sunderland bought a midfielder from Belgian side Union SG. They also are affiliated to Brighton and unearth some gems. I’d be looking at Anan Khalaili, plays right wing back but scored 3 goals in 8 games in the Champions League.
Their midfielder Adem Zorgane also looks like he has the physical attributes to play in the Premier League.
Also, as someone mentioned the Dutch league, does anyone else think Parrott could be worth another shot, especially given we have McKenna at the wheel now? 🤔

I think we're looking at about 8 that are all better than what we have, especially in Midfield and #9. Transfer strategy with Gamechanger is definitely "buy for the resale value ", so expect the vast majority to be under 25.
Don't care on the ages of the players as long as they are PL level and can play a full 90 mins for every league game.
We have to survive one season by any means we can.

Absolutely. Belgium also, Sunderland recruited well from there last summer too!
