McAteer's goal v Brum. Don't think I've been so pleased for a player to get their first goal for the club.

Cov away, Clarke sending Grimes for a hotdog, flick to Nunez, pass to Sir Wesley Burns, goal, emotional celebration, 3 points. Cov fans went home early. Just like the old days, there’s nobody here.

Matusiwa vs Hull

Easy. Philogene smashing that one in against our dear friends up the road. Boom!

O’Shea’s huddle chats and the players after the Norwich away win.

The last ten minutes are Southampton the other day. We were tearing them apart and I knew we’d see off QPR after that. A real team emerged in those final few weeks.

I was getting slightly worried we might not quite get there - we had been so poor at WBA - but that last 10 minutes at Soton changed that - knew we would beat QPR after that.

Yeah I’ll go with that too. Especially after he missed a similar chance not long before & then Birmingham went straight down the other end & scored.

Matusiwa’s goal against Hull. A hard fought game, settled by a brilliant shot into the top corner.

Jack Clarke’s goal against Norwich was good too - the confirmation that we were going to shut them up and make Look East cry.

Hirst scoring at Carrow Road. Best halftime of the season after that.

Great point.
Those are the type of moments I encourage my children to remember when they suffer any form of disappointment whether in sport or in life. "How would McAteer react?"

Philogene's third goal against the Blades. I just puffed my cheeks in disbelief, it's a good job he won goal of the season anyway because I think that goal could have got it.

Burns at Cov obviously.

Walton's save at Swansea.

Can I also just say the last 10 minutes of the Soton game. So so good and so unlucky. Gave everyone belief going into QPR.

Philogene's 30 yarder vs Nodge has to be up there, along with Hirst at Carrot Road. From not beating that lot for however many years, to doing the double over them was fantastic.

Last ten mins away at Derby.
McAteer assist, Leif goal.
Travis sent off, due to Furlong fun and games.
Kieran and the players connecting with a noisy away end.

Jack Clarke winner against West Brom. Hardly a classic but we needed that badly, had lost two in a row inc the shocker vs Charlton and things were on the point of getting a bit weird. Had a fair bit of luck with the goal but you tend to need that somewhere and from then on we were, beyond a few notable exceptions of course, incredibly stable for the rest of the season.

*Edit - more a pivotal moment than a special one, granted! More to your point I'd say the away end, during the game and after, at Saints. Everyone knew and appreciated what they'd seen even if we didn't quite get what we came for, and I think we were all stronger – fans and players – for going through that together.

I'm going to add a perhaps " out of the box " take on things. The moment the final whistle blew on the defensive debacle at Wrexham. Whatever happened straight after that turned the season. PL 15 W 8 D 6 L 1 and 7 clean sheets.
