My comments were just a general observation which you are included in but not exclusively to. The fact that you started the thread is inconsequential as others become part of it. I think we all know that you might well have blocked Dolly but you log-out to read any posts that might well have been directed at you - your ego dictates that you will want to know.

Hand on heart. If you’re blocked then you’re blocked. I see no point in logging out to read replies. Everyone who is on ignore is there because I have no interest in seeing what they post. Otherwise you might as well just pretend to have somebody on ignore.

But as we are taking about being consistent. I’ve seen you criticise reform for racism but haven’t see the same from you regarding the 30+ candidates exposed for antisemitism, including two who have Benn arrested. Happy to apologise if you can link an example. But if not then maybe keep quiet about people posting consistently.

I might well not have posted about some Green Party members antisemitism but I condemn anyone who is guilty of that regardless of political affiliation.

Basically your argument is, if someone doesn’t condemn everything then they can’t condemn something. Odd take.

This seems a bit desperate from the Telegraph. He was indeed working at the MOJ (supplied by an agency) on training & diversity programme(s). Yet according to the scoop “However, the Ministry of Justice has reportedly said it has no record of him being employed in that capacity”.

Well, no he never said he was employed. He said he was working at, which he was. Nice strawman if nothing else.

The responses to failures in vetting candidates is far more worthy of scrutiny and he needs to be continually pressed on that. His council tax issue will also be looked at and he should face action if it’s proven he deliberately mislead/made false claims/entries.

Just a bit weird - I condemn all antisemitism. I might well not post about every single time it crops up in the news (and unfortunately it’s in the news a lot) but I condemn it in its entirety.

Making arrangements to pay council tax on a "property" that isn't permissible to be used as such* would be a bold move and one unlikely to end well, I'd speculate. Not something I'm overly exercised about, alternative lifestyles like this, lived out on the margins of society and the law, providing they don't harm others and providing take-up remains very modest (if we all opted to clandestinely live on these boats then that would be a worry!).

It's another layer to the man's origin story though, however one feels about the degree of misdemeanour.

Every household that fails to pay their council tax but uses the council for such services drives the cost up for everyone else, who then end up paying more. It’s not just illegal/antisocial, it’s selfishly cheating your neighbours. Doesn’t exactly endorse his “caring about others” image does it.

Yes, that bit seems on the face of it to not add up. There is a case to be made to ask why the spokesman said he belonged to a committee that didn’t exist (assuming it’s a true quote and they did indeed speak to his spokesperson). But the initial accusation is still spin that Alastair Campbell would have been proud of.

Just depends how you interpret “working at”. It’s being spun as if he claimed he was working ‘for’. Anyone who’s worked out at client’s places will have said words like ‘I’m working at Tata this week’ or wherever. I can’t see anything where he claims he was working for the MOJ. The organisation he was posted too (Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC)) also works closely with and regularly in MOJ buildings, so it was very likely he was literally at the MOJ.

Only he knows his intent for sure. Was he lying by saying he worked for the MOJ (doesn’t look like it), being deliberately vague to imply he was working for the MOJ (maybe, but can’t be proved either way).

The Committed claim seems wrong though. I’ve no idea on that. We’ll have to wait and see if that’s verified/challenged and if anything else comes out.

That was my thought exactly. Was similar with the thing last week and the hypnosis thing. Misinterpretations, possibly intentionally misleading to be uncharitable, but over things of low importance - the sorts of thing that most people do in their lives to exaggerate, and all years ago before his current role.

I suspected it was going to be something like that, but it's sickening to have to look into all of these smearing tactics that these bastards use when someone with a bit of social responsibility comes along to challenge their cushy established scams on behalf of 'the people'. Misleading, misdirection, cynical bastards.

More Walthamstow news this - Lee Bridge marina is a fantastic place in the marshes (you could be in norfolk in certain views). I had no idea that bods on boats had to pay council tax - no idea why, as they would get no services and pay the marina for water and electricity / rubbish, plus the water authority license for their boats..

Does this apply to boats in continuous cruising license out of interest and if so, which council do they pay
