| New kit supplier on 18:04 - May 14 with 3442 views | SitfcB | Heard a couple of weeks ago it’s Nike. The story from ITFC says it was a four year deal with Umbro from 2022. Also all of the Umbro stock has been heavily reduced for weeks. | |

It’s no surprise he shouts something like that from the rooftops when seemingly many people have known for a while.

| New kit supplier on 18:19 - May 14 with 3274 views | Swansea_Blue | Disappointing. I was hoping for Waffen-SS Military Outfitters It’s all nylon tat made in sweatshops, but are Nike any better/worse than any of the others? | |

He thinks we have another year of Umbro then Nike. Is that what you've heard? I was under the impression Umbro was up at the end of this season?

Nope, under the impression Nike straight in. Plus this story says 4 year Umbro deal from 2022… https://www.itfc.co.uk/news/20

Ashton said in November another year of Umbro: “We have another year in the current contract. The kit designs [for 2026/27] have been done, they seem to get earlier and earlier each year and that’s a huge debate. “As we enter the last year with Umbro, as we do with any commercial deal, we will look at the market, we’ll look at all the opportunities and we’ll see what is the best fit to take us forward. “But Umbro have been a really good partner for us. They may be with us even longer, but we’ll look at the market, we’ll explore the market over the next 12 months.”

Bloody heck, I guess it’s complicated as have to negotiate a new deal whilst still in contract with current supplier.

I thought I’d go to the oracle as you really are … do you have any idea how much shirt sponsors pay for the privilege to be the main name on the front ? I know and can imagine different clubs charge different, but Ipswich ?

Indeed, probably a bit awkward current supplier working with the club for a year knowing they're off somewhere else. But comes with the territory, I suppose.

Think that was largely just discussion on here, Castore have been really clear that they have no intention of retiring the Umbro brand and will be using the name under licence.

Ashton said this Halo one was the largest in the clubs history I think? And was the largest in the PL and Championship outside of betting sponsors. Probably a good few million, even Ed said that going up to the Premier League made it very expensive which is why he bought a stake in the club instead. [Post edited 14 May 19:34]

That was Hugo Boss. Notwithstanding it ended up being a bit of a PR disaster they did make a really good outfit.

Bringing in a little bit more than Radio Orwell then 😊 .. It’s only i was thinking the other day about Arsenal and their Rwanda deals and a few others with other nations. I was thinking of contacting the Peruvian tourist board and suggesting a few ideas to them re.Ipswich as they certainly like before will have global eyes on them again.

Seeing as Nike, as a company, were founded on the idea of sweatshops that side of things won't be any better.

Probably not too hard. “Hi Nike, our Umbro deal is coming to an end next year. We’re one of the favourites to get promoted so you could have another PL club wearing your badge and selling your gear. Don’t fancy doing a deal with a promotion clause should we go up?”

| New kit supplier on 20:37 - May 14 with 2056 views | Churchman | It’s all Nikel Farage’s fault. As it goes, I like Nike stuff and as long as they keep the home kit traditional they can do what they like. | | | |

Boo. Umbro kits are poor and all of their entries have been awful imo.
