The difference is we were trying to buy him for the Championship before. Now we're buying players for the Prem. It's possible McKenna has his sights higher now (because they need to be, and we also have the money now that we didn't have before). |

I can see both sides …. Last time we shopped at championship level we failed spectacularly in the PL. equally, a couple of players from the championship might be okay, depending on the numbers leaving.

Hoping for promotion is very different to actually having promotion. You can't spend money you don't have, however much you hope to have it!

I agree, a fast start is needed - certainly far better than last time. 25 is ambitious though. We’d be challenging for top 6. I know Sunderland did it, but Leeds were on 17.

Despite being on the third page, I’m still struggling to see what lesson people have failed to learn this season that’s getting you so worked up. The only punt on a player this season who we were hoping could step up to a higher level was Walle Egeli (I think). Everyone else was proven at this level or at least an equivalent level overseas.
