Congratulations Hull City! Couldn’t even spend a penny this summer fitting for McBurnie to get the winner. What a get he was.

Well organized and brilliant performances in a tournament football throughout, not one goal conceded and took their moments.

Not to mention football won today (as well hopefully Town!)

Feel for the keeper though, Boro lad but he’s seemed quite shaky all season!

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

I wouldn't call todays a brilliant performance but they certainly defended resolutely.

Well done Hull. Boro the sort of team that would come third in.a two horse race..

No excuses if we can’t finish above Coventry and Hull, we will never have a better chance.

We just need to be better than one of the established PL teams and this could be start of our time to become a PL regular.

Crystal Palace is my bet.

Yep …

Last time we went up, we were against two other promoted sides who had been in the premiership and had good squads and even more to spend. This time, we have an advantage on Coventry and Hull you’d have thought.

3 Championship play-off campaigns. 3 wins. Not a bad record.

They were resolute and organised. They got it done, but were a long way from brilliant. It was a dreadful game. But they won’t care. They’ll have a great night and deservedly so.

We done the double on both of them this season, so hope that gives us confidence in at least getting 4 wins.. whilst last time we hadn’t beaten Leicester and yes we done the double over saints but they still had a more ready premier league squad than us at the time.

Well, they won't be selling McBurnie, then, and Hackney will probably get better offers

They absolutely were tactically brilliant! Have you seen their squad this season?!

Boro often score 0 goals with a very high XG, today they were extremely limited by Hull who patiently waited for their moment. Fantastically organized, the exact game they wanted.

Might not be pretty but that’s how an inferior squad can get it done.

Jeez, that’s bold. Have you seen Brentford play? And their manager will stay, have a full pre season and sign players.

I’d say after Villa they’re the best side I’ve seen in the last few weeks, intensity, can really play, very well organised, look a threat.

Maybe Bournemouth look even better, but few others, including any of the ‘bigger’ clubs.

If we finish above them we’ll be closer to Europe than relegation, it’s 100% not happening.

Justice seen to be done. I said pre season I didn't think OM would be the type of player for us, well I was wrong. His overall play has been very good and his finishing excellent. Congratulations to him and Hull City. See you in the PL next season!

Many on here were tipping Brentford to go down last time. God knows why unless, as you suggest, they haven't seen them

Fair play, justice done (well, in accordance with the play-off system as it is anyway - I do always feel for the 3rd-placed team).

Sometimes having a settled squad might be a benefit if they have the right manager to mould it ? Well done to them. I had a sneaky feeling they were going to do it when the snesked into 6th. The play offs throw up these results occasionally.

Pleased they won it fair and square in the match. Credit to them given the transfer restrictions, losing the manager and all the recent shenanigans.

I, like most people, thought Southampton would piss the play offs, with or without ill-gotten info. And having watched that final I don't feel any different. How gutted must they be feeling now? They were clearly the best team in the play offs, although perhaps they never would've got there, anyway, without spying on others. Who knows, but what an expensive error of judgement that was!

Trust the process. Trust Phil.
