A week and a bit to go before july and weve no manager. No signings ( im not suprised so not bemoaning it as such) weve not finished the training ground either Just seems like.the last prem promotion summer was messed up a bit with the whole will he wont he go. This time round its been similar but with him going but taken again a while to decide. Just feels a bit hmmm Hmmm.

Doesnt mean km and the players dont deserve plaudits. They caught up and took advantage when it came. Happy days. |
It doesn’t matter whether they spent the whole season washing around, beating most teams out of sight, scrambling, chasing or trying to get on Bargain Hunt. If you finish in second when the whistle blows at the end of the 46th game you deserve to. No ifs no buts no excuses. As it goes, in spite of a new team and the time it took for that team to come together we gained promotion, third time in four years. I hope that one day all involved get the credit for that achievement they deserve. We are left with a core of players who are better than two years ago, albeit in need of reinforcements and of course a new manager. It’s exciting and challenging and a heck of a lot better that facing Championship or League One. Time, patience, let the club get on with its work and have faith in the owners. They’ve done alright by us so far and perhaps are a little more involved in the club than people might think. We will be fine. [Post edited 18 Jun 8:03]

| Middle of June on 00:57 - Jun 18 by Nthsuffolkblue | Thinking about it is far from it being confirmed. EDIT: I have now found the phrase in the article Phil wrote. Whether Phil meant that it was confirmed a couple of weeks before it was announced or whether he meant they were aware it was heading that way only Phil will know. Ashton's comments state it was a dialogue that started with the suggestion from McKenna at the end of the season. It is also possible we sounded out the likes of Knutsen and/or Rosenior and unnamed other candidates and it became clear they weren't interested/available for whatever reason. It appears from Ashton's comments that unexpected candidates threw their hats into the ring once the departure was announced too. As I say, it is better to take some time to get the decision right than it is to rush into a wrong one. Before the announcement, the club is very limited on what they can do without the news becoming public before they wanted to announce it. [Post edited 18 Jun 1:12]

It clearly stated in Phil’s article that town have known about KMs decision for 2 weeks. It even said that Ashton is already working on his replacement. That was a week ago. Sorry, but Frimmers is 100% correct.

And people are only replying, because that's what a football forum is for too.

He's 100% correct on the timings but not 100% correct that it all should be wrapped up by now, a manager in place and new signings walking through the door.

Loads of people have replied much more harshly than me but it's my post you single out. You even saw it yesterday as you posted on the thread by didn't feel the need to say anything. Now you suddenly do. Wonder why that could be.... SB [Post edited 18 Jun 12:30]

In the interest of providing you with a balanced opinion. I think a new mananager by the end of the week. Players to begin trickling in as early as back end of next week as I don't believe every player we will be signing this season is at the WC. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I think this is more at the stage Frimers has approached the bar with his own tankard, the staff haven’t even seen him, he doesn’t know what is on tap, and he is worrying about the the quality of the pour.

So because the other replies aren't basically agreeing with Frimmers, they're not balanced? I like to think all my responses in this thread are fair, respectful and balanced, even if I don't agree with Frimmers that we should be concerned yet.

The OP wasn’t a question about the preparation. It was a questions about feelings. “ When/if there is a time when its acceptable to feel…” He asked a question, he had some replies.
