Given our struggles in the past to land strikers (not just us the market in general) I would be astounded if we managed to get 3 in.

I honestly believe that is the appeal. Both of these players moved to the French league for modest transfer fees before becoming regulars and inflating their transfer fees tenfold. If we had a proper scouting network, such players could be acquired for a fraction of the price that's being kicked around by the media.
