Bid in for Emersonn on 15:10 - Jul 4 by chenners17
Know very little about him other than what can can see from the highlights.
I thought we'd likely go for the other guy, etto eyong considering his release clause reduced from 1st July that was reported.
So hard to know what we would be signing. His highlight reels look similar to those of ahadme and hamadi. Some great link up. Finishing too but quite a lot of shots where he should have done better

Technically he looks excellent with the ability to drive forward with the ball, and strong in hold up battling against defenders.
But at 21 is not going to be the finished product

What’s not to like - big, strong, good with both feet, tidy link up play, some decent finishes in there, he’s only 21 and he’s blahhhdy Brazilian. At his tender age you gotta pad out the old highlights real with whatever you can get

One to pull out - G+A for Emerson is 0.5 vs Delap at 0.41
Delap was not bought to lead the line, but we failed to get another striker in. Emersonn probably seen the same, with us also looking for a first choice no.9 to sign alongside him.

Like what I see there, shows good strength seems to be able to link play.
As I said in another thread, with young strikers you have to ignore goal records to a point as the good ones often will just have a breakout year and all of a sudden they are worth 50 million quid. You just have to hope you find one of those.

I’m not sure what’s wrong with this. He had a poor year last year and I can’t see how he becomes a permanent fixture in the PL.
But who knows. He’s a better striker than number 10, so just maybe there’s a route back for him under a new broom.
Yeah, maybe I could have been a little less snarky in my post but if you don't think he has a part to play in a PL season then it's either a loan, permanent transfer or part exchange.
