| breaking bad/better call saul 17:00 - Jul 6 with 1347 views | witchdoctor | what’s everyone’s fave?…I’ve just finished binging both…again….and have to say that BCS edges it for me…B B is more one dimensional compared to BCS which has several sub plots on the go..also cool spotting cameo appearance from B B making an appearance on BCS… | | | | |
| breaking bad/better call saul on 17:04 - Jul 6 with 1300 views | iamatractorboy | BB probably edges it for all out excitement at certain times, but BCS definitely has better characters and character development. Also has Rhea Seehorn so that's that too. | | | |

'excitement'; I could only ever handle one BB episode at a time so high was the stress level, used to have to watch some fluff like Modern Family inbetween to calm down. Terrific stuff nonetheless (BB).
| breaking bad/better call saul on 17:35 - Jul 6 with 1186 views | Blue_Order | Love both shows, watched them both as they aired. BB was my favourite show since The Sopranos and The Wire - they’re in my all time top 5 with Gomorrah (excluding the dreadful last series). Never expected BCS to get anywhere near BB, but on rewatches I think I actually prefer it, the later seasons especially, and Nacho’s storyline in particular. Rhia Seahorn is phenomenal throughout. I can never bring myself to watch the last few episodes though - I don’t enjoy the last couple of Gene episodes, and the ending breaks my heart. They’re both quite cartoonish in parts (Gus, the Salamanca twins, Lalo etc), but there’s not many better shows out there. I could have done without El Camino though, as much as I enjoyed another BB world instalment. I don’t think it added much. | | | |
| breaking bad/better call saul on 17:42 - Jul 6 with 1152 views | wkj | Better Caul Saul for me, but with the big caveat of it needing Breaking Bad's story to be as good as it was. Honestly, I think the two go together hand in hand so I see them as one contiguous show rather than two standing alone. | |

Agree with all of that, BCS actually surprised me how good it was when I watched it. El Camino wasn't required though, much as I enjoyed him Jesse was probably the character I had least interest in following up with.

I felt el Camino let the side down a bit tbh. Mainly because both BB and BCS were just top tier

| breaking bad/better call saul on 23:06 - Jul 6 with 835 views | Warkystache | BCS for me. Jimmy/Saul, Mike, Gus and Lalo Salamanca were better characters. BB sometimes annoys me (Walter White and Jesse Pinkman make too many bad choices) but the two greatest episodes came from BB - Felina and Ozymandias. | |

Oh, and met the woman in the local candy store who made the prop crystal meth for BB and now makes a very good living selling bags of it to tourists. I have lived!

We did that last year when we had a one night stop at Albuquerque. Sat in the booth at Twisters (Los Pollos), found Walter White’s house and Hank’s house, then stayed in the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town where Jimmy and Kim stayed when they were hiding from Lalo Salamanca. Totally unplanned. It was just on our route from Dallas to The Grand Canyon. The owners of Hank’s house are far friendlier that WW’s. [Post edited 7 Jul 0:09]

| breaking bad/better call saul on 08:53 - Jul 7 with 640 views | baxterbasics | BB was a lot quicker to grip me, BCS took some time before I was invested. But BCS finished very strong. The decider is that really it was BB that laid all the groundwork for BCS to soar. Have we also discussed Pluribus? Not the same universe, but same creator, same location, and Rhea Seehorn. | |

Did you fling a giant size pepperoni pizza on her garage roof? If yes, that might be why she was annoyed with you

Saul Goodman was my favourite character on Breaking Bad. Like others say, Walter White was hard to like as the show progressed my Wife couldn't watch it after the first 2 seasons. But because he f the pure criminalnunderworld, Pinkmans escapades and the horror of the Mexicans I did prefer Breaking Bad. BCS peaked in the middle for me and was slowing up by the last series.

The story goes that she was very happy with the income from the shoots, didn't mind people taking photos from off her property, all was fine. Then one day somebody trespassed and did exactly that. And she became obsessed with ruining tourists photos, sitting on a deckchair in front of the house all day.

I thought BCS got better the longer it went on. Totally understand the extended black and white 'future' stuff towards the end not being everyone's cup of tea but I still found it rivetting waiting to find out Jimmy's (and Kim's) ultimate fate.

Yeah I think it was all that that turned me off, just become a bit over-complicated and lost its way. IMO.
