Is it just me that finds 'Rossco' a bit, much?

I do find it ironic that the Blue Monday group are much more polished and professional than the KOA gang who are actual journalists and charge for content.

I love him, and I also think it's a bit unnecessary to pass negative comment on an obvious Town fan doing his job, because you don't like his style. Just watch something else, it's optional.

Good work by Philogene...... GREAT WORK BY PHILOGENE!!!

I agree with your last sentence.

Nevertheless, he is incredibly fortunate to have a job in professional broadcasting…

I guess though, on a team of four, there’s always room for one slightly eccentric character - he is the Murdoch to Stu Watson’s Hannibal.

Bit harsh.

BM charge for content now too and KOA were exceptional in tackling the Farage issue.

Others less so…

On the whole I prefer BM but Stu Watson is anbsolutely brilliant and I like Heathy too. Undoubtedly it was better when ā€œHutchyā€ was still there though.

I used to watch talking town but couldn't watch him and matt like watching Laurel and Hardy blue monday far better depending on presenters.

He’s unbearable. He’s now hosting episodes and also interviewing ex players. It’s really bad.

Last season they gave him 5 attempts to get a player’s name right, literally asked him to say it after them and he couldn’t repeat the word. He can’t say the word ā€˜Molecular’ who sponsor the podcast and is also pronouncing it Strag-sburg.

The constant repeating of phrases is because he can’t think of the right words so has to fill in the gaps.

I shouldn’t pile on because he clearly has some issues. But he’s ruined the podcast and I’m genuinely just baffled as to how he has got into this position. And I think it reflects poorly on the paper.

As I said above he is unbelievably fortunate to have a job in broadcasting but…

He’s there I think as the light relief though. Same way Gervais and Merchant always used to put Karl Pilkington forward.

I find the other three a good listen which is a shame.

Think there's a few who are being a bit harsh on him. He's clearly just a fan who works for the paper, and the other guys on the pod obviously have a lot of love for him. While the mispronouncing of names can be a bit jarring he at least owns up to the fact that he's not the sharpest and doesn't take himself too seriously...

A bit much? Yes I’m sure for some, we all have different tastes and opinions. Repeated phrases? Yes, but we all do it, however most of us are not filmed doing it and have themselves critiqued online.

His first ever interview question at ITFC was with Mick McCarthy and in front of all the other journos he asked him ā€˜what’s your favourite biscuit’? Which made Mick drop has guard down and others laugh.

Sometimes you need different personalities, light and shade to make the world go around.

If it still irks anyone, there’s plenty of other ITFC content out there.

PS I’m not his mum ;)
Honest

Well said, some rather nasty and unnecessary comments on here. I also wouldn't say these guys are "incredibly fortunate", they work hard and also do it for the love of Town. My guess is they are certainly not paid a kings ransom for it.

I don't think he's the jewel in the KOA crown: that's clearly Stuart Watson, but he's clearly there to be their 'man of the people' type as a counterpoint to the others.

I have more of an issue with his inability to pronounce the names of some players and making a joke of it: it feels disrespectful.

Is it any more disrespectful than Ben from BM using his high pitched mocking voice when he talks about people who don't agree with him on certain points? Something he's openly admitted he does when on a show with the likes of NTT20 podcast (Now there are some REAL frauds.)

FWIW I really like BM and Ben. But I'd say that's actually worse when you're openly mocking a percentage of your audience , no matter how small that might be...

He is a really nice lad. Town fan who clearly loves what he does so all respect to him.

For me personally, I don't listen to the episodes he is on. The repetition of "My Friend" and long running jokes about not being able to say names I just find a bit disrespectful and childish. So I give it a miss.

Sorry, but he is employed to be filmed and having his opinion 'critiqued' online.

It's nothing to do with his 'personality'. I agree that you need light and shade, but it's the factual inaccuracies, the blasƩ nature of pronouncing things wrong. He's in a very fortunate and esteemed sports journalist role. It never feels like he takes it very seriously.

Probably a good photographer but a journalist he very much ain't. Sorry 'Rossco's Mum'.

I don't mind it when they use him for the right parts which is obviously the light hearted aspects of the pod.

But I'm not a huge fan of him hosting and I do struggle with the constant jokes about the mispronunciation. It's not hard to learn these things, particularly if it is your job.

I still absolutely listen but the reality is I'm only there for the thoughts of Stu/AJ as I'm sure is the case for most of us.

Although true this is a bit harsh. His photography is brilliant and he does really well at interviewing the fans. I too don't listen to the podcast anymore as the only one is Stuart Watson who I genuinely find understands town.

I usually just listen to the BM podcast although their paid content is much worse than the free content.
