So how do people buy the odd ticket to the games now? 15:54 - Jul 24 with 3190 views

I wouldn’t mind going to a couple in the new year,I remember yonks ago there was a ballot system and you got offered the odd ticket now and again.

Is that a thing now?

Then try again when they go on sale.

Best bet these days is buy a membership and enter the ballots etc. Then try again when they go on sale. Failing that put a post on here asking for spare S/Ts.

Unless you want a particular game, I found this the most reliable option over the course of the season. It’s a pain to have to keep checking, but needs must. You need to be on the ticket site very regularly, as when one pops up it’s normally gone within the hour (when we were in the PL).

Though for just about every game tickets would appear regularly on Saturday mornings 2-3 hours before the game. If you're local and OK with single tickets you'll be able to go to most games.

As a once a year very expensive pilgrimage ( Stoke 23/24 ) even then absolutely no chance of tickets for me and my missus without doing hospitality,the chances of 2 tickets for this season (even with hospitality) are rather remote.
Where were you when we were shoite comes to mind,but I always knew it was the price of success.
IF I manage a hospitality package, I'm a minimum (travel, hotel etc) of 1k .

Do you need a membership for that, or just an account?

I think just an account. The membership entitles you to apply for the ballot and gives you an earlier sale window for tickets, but I don’t think that applies to resale tickets which appear once tickets reach general sale.

Ballot had a decent success rate in 2024 for members. It’s the same again I believe, I just got my international membership for 40 odd quid for when I’m back.
