Absolutely this … felt he was very much playing for himself, rather than the team at the time, which, as you say was fairly evident with some of his decision making and shooting.
That said, wouldn’t be against him here, especially if a permanent deal and having worked under GON before, might be a bit of a master stroke signing. Big man, little man combo up top with Emersonn. |
Think that comes with being a short term loan, you're joining to put yourself in the shop window, if you can bang in some goals in that time, those figures are remembered, not the easy 5 yard passes that should be played instead of a shot that goes wide from 30 yards.

My memory of him from his previous time here is that we (TWTDers) were generally not that impressed with him. I seem to remember there was a consensus that we expected more from a player of his supposed reputation, that we looked for 'worldies' instead of playing for the good of the team as a whole.
Happy to be proved wrong, he's not one that gets my pulse racing. That said, GON knows him and how to get the best from him. If he thinks he fits then I'm happy for him to makes that call. |  |

He was 19-20 at Brighton and they had accelerated their growth to a stage where he could be sold for profit, it’s what they do.
He’s 22, had 12 goals and 9 assists in the top French division where players go for big bucks all the time to top clubs all over Europe. Did you see his performances in the World Cup?
Not really sure their league position is that relevant tbh.
Would be a big signing for a promoted club by any measure.

Would have him back here in a heartbeat. An exciting player, a player comfortable in tight areas and never hides away from the ball. Plus, he isn't afraid to get a shot away.
Looking at the comments on this thread and the comments on another thread regarding Delap, I feel like I must have been watching a different team last time out.
Enciso and Delap (alongside O'Shea and Omari) were the only real pieces of consistent PL quality. Others showed flashes of being ok at the level, but we went down because of a lack of quality etc. But I am seeing a lot of comments saying no to the idea of the pair returning which I am not understanding? |  |
