According to TEAMtalk sources, Ipswich Town are interested in signing Tim Iroegbunam this summer. Ipswich Town have made an approach for a move for Iroegbunam. A formal offer has not yet arrived, but one is expected soon. Everton are now open to offers for Iroegbunam and are prepared to sell him to avoid the risk of him leaving on a free transfer, as his contract expires in a year. A loan deal is a possibility, but only if it includes an obligation to buy clause.
We've definitely watched him and he's been on our list.

He's a CDM whose passing is his weak spot. Would have thought we've moved on.

I think we were definitely interested in him, but presumably that was before we had Florentino Luis almost in the bag. I'm all for depth of squad in the PL, but I'd imagine we'll be looking for more of a box to box carrier, to partner Luis or Matusiwa.
His passing is his strength according to wikipedia!

Everton fans have said he's a decent CDM but passing not his strong point. Despite that I wouldn't have minded signing him to compete with Matusiwa if we hadn't go Florentino (who has much more pedigree btw)

I would've thought so, especially with Matusiwa here. Florentino and Azor are both #6's, do a lot of good work off the ball, a high % of interceptions and turnovers, but a bit more limited in possession. We saw it last season with Matusiwa, had a good season and does what he does effectively, but not the most creative or cute in possession. And that was at Championship level. I'd have Iroegbunam in the same category and we don't need 3.
We need a big ticket #8 in IMO. Someone who can get around the pitch, bring some offensive threat, eat up the ground on the counter. More of a Taylor profile, but levels better.

Re. big ticket #8 - I'm not even sure that's Sasa Lukic either is it? I would imagine we've moved on from him if Florentino is joining.
Led to believe we've been sniffing around Caleb Yirenkyi for some time. He'd have the power and pace to get up and down as an #8.
Do we though ? I wouldn’t be unhappy with 2 destroyers in that 4231 pivot, as long as they can play an accurate short pass.
I think we're likely to have two destroyers in there, although I think people have been very harsh about Florentino Luis' technical ability - he's not a bad passer of the ball, has very good feed and carries the ball between lines pretty effectively!

Agreed. Having watch this highlights video, it shows him both breaking up play and him being able to carry and pass fairly effectively.

As I, and others, have said, if we was spending £16m on him and signing from Benfica, people would be lauding the signing.

Even if we signed him from Benfica we would still need a midfielder of a different profile though. There may well be games where we see Azor and Luis as the best option for solidity but we absolutely need someone better at progressing the ball to pair them with as an option. Benfica got the best out of Luis by doing exactly that.

I don’t think anyone’s doubting that, are they? Given our pursuit of Palacios, it looks like the club are aware of it too.
