Unlimited beer and complimentary food (picky bits)

Think you can go in two hours before KO and have an hour after FT.

Your package includes:

Reserved seating in R Block, West Stand
Pre-match street food in the lounge, plus half-time & post-match refreshments
Complimentary bar including beer, wine & soft drinks
Official matchday programmes & team sheets for all guests

From memory you might struggle to see the near touchline, otherwise the view from R block is fine.

In all fairness, the people who'll pay for that aren't actually very interested in football.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

The seats are behind the pillars, I'd imagine you'd struggle to see the goal from some of them. Strange place to put the expensive seats. I agree otherwise, I like R block, but I thought this placement for the money was crazy

Or perhaps, having had to give up their season ticket through ill-health, are keen to get/keep themselves fit enough for one last visit to Portman Road with a select group of friends and family as a "final bash" kind of thing.

Just a thought.

I paid nearly that 10 years ago to watch New York Giants in their stadium - with no drinks or food, just a plain ticket.

I guess as a one off for tourist type supporters its an option.

I do this and other hospitality packages because I can't get a ticket through the normal means. And I live in London and am I'm too busy to have a season ticket.

I don't even drink, I just drink soda water at the free bar.

Or supporters who want to make more of an experience of it. This is far more common than you might think these days.

Yes, there are many supporters who want to arrive 2 minutes before kick off, and leave at the final whistle, but there are also those who want to arrive well ahead of the game, relax in a comfy space with food and drink, meander to their seat as the game begins and then wind down in a similar way afterwards, often with a legend / player encounter.

Horses for courses.

I regularly pay this for away matches to ensure I get a ticket and I can assure you that my travelling companions and I love the football just as much as you.

That’s not true at all, I’ve paid hospitality on my last 4 visits and I’m very interested in football and supported the club my entire life.

Would you have been happy if Town had relocated season ticket holders to accommodate hospitality fans.

I get what you mean but not totally true. It’s the only way I’m sure of getting any sort of ticket outside of the ticket lottery. I live in Belfast so going every week is a no go and hence why I’ve purchased my ticket for the Liverpool match here As an aside this is my first top flight Liverpool game at PR since 85/86 when I travelled alone as a 15 year old via ferry and coach to witness a glorious 2-1 win. The weather that day was appalling too and I think I dried out somewhere around Preston on the journey home so, I think despite a pole of uncertainty potentially restricting the view I’ll enjoy the degree of comfort that small plates and unlimited beer offer.

Its a middle class sport now the premiership. If you have lots of disposable income enjoy.

This is spot on, when they opened Three Lions the restricted view seats were the only ones available and remains same but..
As a few season tickets become available over next few years do you use them for someone on the waiting list at £25 a match or hospitality at £220 / match. Sadly the 'legacy fans' in 'general admission' (need a shower now), will miss out.
More hospitality to come this year I think.

S&P lounge is great and has fancy padded seats out front. It is North Stand end of West Stand. But if 3 Lions is now £220 for restricted view, you'll need deep pockets for the birthday treat in the posh seats. I would think it is mostly sold by now for Liverpool.

We went in the Three Lions Lounge a few times last season, as they used to do it as an upgrade option, so we still sat in our West Stand seats, but could access the Three Lions 2 hrs before the game, half time and an hour after the game. It included food and drinks, a programme, as well as chatting with a few Town Legends.

Sadly, they stopped doing the upgrade option at the end of last season. It was good value for the cost - £75 per person including vat.
