The main difference between them and us when we first came up is that our promotion team was genuinely good.

Yes our promotion team was genuinely good but physically they were no match for hardened premiership sides. We had a good but lightweight squad. This time round i have real hope that we can sustain the effort that will be needed to stay up.

Yep, we literally only had Delap that could handle the physicality.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

Simms looks like the only player with Premier quality n their team tonight. Rushworth should but he's having a mare.

Sometimes I think about the frothing lunatics I’ve put on ignore, who will have kept replying to me again and again, but I don’t even realise they exist.

I quite like him and think there’s a lot of promise there, but he’s a bit like a rabbit in headlights tonight.

I’m quite confused by Coventry’s midfield. They often don’t seem to have one. When Grimes drops in between and behind their CBs, there’s absolutely nobody in the middle of the park. I’m not sure if they’re trying to get everyone forward to play off Simms, but they’re leaving so much space.

It's alright, Cov will bring on their new £20m+ keeper. Apparently he is Englands next #1, he will stop the flood....

Jokes aside, this year is going to be tough. I think we have done enough in the market to be competitive against our rivals and mid table teams, especially if we bring in a decent 9.

An hour in and they’ve not made a single tackle.

..And an xG of 0.04, it’s like they’re not even there - Casper the friendly ghost

Quite like Muric for us? Undoubtedly, a good keeper, as shown by his reputation before joining us, and his performances after leaving us on loan last year showed, but he's first couple of months in the Prem clearly destroyed any confidence he had, and the fans had in him being up to the task. Could a few shakey performances flip the way he's seen by their fan base?

Wasn't really my point, but I agree with your last sentence.

They looked considerably weaker than when we weee last in the league, but they were playing the champions and I’m sure they’ll grow into it a bit.

Brilliant viewing. Maybe some of their fans will calm down and realise they are not top 12 team. They were woeful and Rushworth had a stinker.
