It’s startling to become another overused phrase for anything that might be slightly different from watching 30 years ago.
We’ve literally worn black at home, I can see that stirring up a few traditionalists but presumably teams will wear new away shirts with no kit clash at the start of the season in the hope to sell some more.

Yes, it's all about the agreement with the kit maker, but I still prefer Town - and other clubs - to wear their traditional kit whenever possible. Sunderland in pink is nonsense - they've worn red & white stripes for longer than I've been alive & a game loses something if one of the teams doesn't look as it should. |  |

He had a go at us, albeit nowhere near on the same scale, after we made a point about us playing in a black kit at PR that time too. That one said “Tradition Matters”.
He doesn’t like any dissenting voice, or our group at all. Says we’re ‘bad for the clubs family image’. He told us everyone at the club hates us, and that nobody was willing to work with us for at least the rest of the season (not that they do much anyway but).

Yes, for me it is an important part of the occasion. I want to see Sunderland in red and white, Newcastle in black and white, Liverpool in red etc. That is who they are. Imagine if Norwich turned up at Portman Road not wearing yellow and green. Clubs should stick to their identity, and just wear their second shirts when colour clash requires it. | | | |
