Any shot coming off the underside of the bar is tricky for a keeper if he is having to dive across to it. After all the keeper is lateral yet he needs to get his hand to 8 feet in height. Hardly easy. I am backing the keeper here. Do not need another Muric situation. | | | |

From MoTD highlights, the ball went precisely over the head of the shortest *Sunderland* player (who ducked to allow it through), so unless our defence had total control of where Sunderland players were standing, the height of *our* players in our wall would have made no difference..

Our keeper was bouncing up and down so his feet were not in contact with the floor intermittently. Sods law says hevwas in the air at the point the ball was kicked, meaning he therefore couldnt push off the ground to get across the goal line!
Im right behind the goal and a keeper of his hieght and total reach should have got that free kick ( as good as it was) because it wasnt right into the corner of the goal.

From our view in the Churchmans we could see it going exactly where it went as soon as the wall was set. I could have scored in that gap, and I've not kicked a ball in 20 years!
