Was McKenna at the match? 14:20 - Aug 24 with 2919 viewsKentish_Tractor

Does anyone know if McKenna was in the crowd to watch the match on Saturday?

Still lives locally as far as I know. Club would happily give him a ticket in the directors box. And I'm sure theres no ill feelings between either party and he surely wishes us well.

And if he wasnt watching this one, would you expect to see him at one or more games this season?

Poll: Assume we have the money for one more big signing. Where do you spend it?

Not sure but Pert was, I saw him after. Didn't see KM though.

I would think not. He would understand the potential media distraction. I would suspect we may see him later in the season but also suspect that he would want to give his replacement space for the timebeing.

I think this would almost certainly be part of the unwritten managerial code.

It would be no different if he turned up on the Sky Sports panel. I would have thought either would be treated as disrespectful to the incoming manager.

There will come a time and place I'm sure but it wont be for a while and you can almost guarentee it will be in the middle of a good run of form.

I recall Mick doing the Soccer Saturday coverage of Town v Blackburn in Hurst's first game.
He was impressed by Gwion Edwards IIRC

On GON's first game? I highly doubt it!

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

I suspect he'll probably make an appearance once the season is well underway, assuming things are going relatively well and his appearance wouldn't put pressure on O'Neil.

Wonder if Sky have made contact to see if he’d be a pundit?

He did indeed. Family friend of ours was his postie and he redirected his mail to the north west within days of his departure being announced.

Probably watched the highlights.

Hope he had a smile on his face knowing the huge part he played in making this all happen. Not just the promotions but the foundations we have to build on (O'Shea, Greaves, Kipre, Matusiwa, Clarke, Philogene).

Absolutely no way would he go.

He is still here, but on holiday. I know people who dog sit for him, very friendly with the family, and other rumours quashed as well. They are enjoying the rest.

Highly doubt he'll be doing punditry if he's on "gardening leave" as that would count was work.

Same reason nobody saw Graham Potter for about 3 years after he left Chelsea.

When he left, he said he would support us from afar.

This is where rumours are funny because last week a mate was told by [REDACTED] that KM now has a place in Holbrook.

He's not on gardening leave. He resigned from his job. Completely different to Graham Potter etc.

Ah ok, well, if he's not being paid by us then yeah - I would assume he's free to do whatever he wants.

He's keeping a foothold in the region because he knows, deep down, that he'll be back one day.

Not as far as I know but as mentioned elsewhere Pert was along with another of KM's right hand men. Pert was asked was he thought of everything after the game, his reply apparently was " very impressed "
