I'd keep him here for the first half of the season and get him to fight for a place in the team. He may get the odd 10-minutes here and there and it'll be good to see how he handles the level. Given that we're trying to integrate a whole new midfield and also have a couple of players working their way back from injury, it wouldn't hurt to have an extra body in there. |  |

Annoyingly all those lovely passes that were ruled offside were to players on the wing who had a clear view across the pitch. No excuses for straying offside. |  | | |

Yes, needs to be at a club that rates him enough to pay a fee for him and take a financial stake in successfully integrating him into their first team. Knocking about here whilst we say flattering things about him after friendlies and cup games isn't how he's going to build his career. |  |

The Irony of this post is the real tragedy.
It's not me, though unrated him highly. You only have to speak to every coach and player he has played is to understand his value.
Excellent range of passing. Reads the game brilliant. Looks after the ball brilliant and keeps teams ticking over really well. Never his game to bomb on and get goals and assists. He was a cultured interceptor and and marshall in the middle. Not blood and thunder like Morsy. More like a Grimes at Cov. Skuse in a top champ team can run things really effectively.
Multiple of his managers have commented he could play I'm the top flight. Now that I'm not sure on how successfully he would be. But he was a top champ midfielder. | |

He's already behind Lukic, Nunez and Florentino. That's before we add Palacios and Matusiwa & Taylor come back to fitness. That's 7, all being over 21, which is 2 too many.
Unless we get silly offers for Matusiwa and Taylor in the next few days and decide to keep Humphries as 5th man (which feels incredibly unlikely) he's going to be off, and good luck to him. I'd love to see a lower end Champ club stump up a few million and give him his chance. He could prove a fantastic signing for someone as a young, British player. | | | |

He was head and shoulders above the rest of our midfield squad and had he been playing with more adventurous and better quality players, in my opinion, he would have been good enough to play at a lower level top flight team.

oh come on, Skuse was decent, hardly a world-beater but was steady. He did the dirty un-noticed work giving the playmakers like Didz the freedom to operate. You can't blame him because the rest of the side were largely average to poor. McCarthy rated him highly and thought he could do a job in the Prem (that was when Makele style defensive midfielders were the thing) , so that will do for me. | | | |
