Whoever proves to do the business.

However good Emersonn is, at his age you just need another more experienced option so it's not all on his shoulders too soon.

Of course, but if he keeps scoring he'll keep playing.

Wouldn’t want him to feel Trapped

You're very cocky for someone who's team currently have no points and only one goal scored in the Championship. [Post edited 27 Aug 15:07]

It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub. |

“he moves like a 35 year old” was a Comment on the villa forum that worried me.

Yeah. What set him apart early on was that he didn't move like a 6'4" bloke. Now not so much!

It was tongue in cheek at the sheer volume of signings and spending we are doing, can't quite believe, but that said we must be close to our limit now.

I’m not sure why people are that surprised about it in terms a wow factor. He’s not playing or in villa’s plans with Jackson and that young kid they’ve got coming through. We are a PL club and the biggest of those that got promoted, had an injury and on a fair whack, makes plenty of sense really. [Post edited 27 Aug 13:21]

Pretty standard for supporters of clubs like Villa to think everyone they sell is rubbish.

We were also told by Pompey and Leicester supporters Hirst is a league 2 forward so hey ho, lets give him a chance and form our own judgement. One thing I'd say in his defence is he's not been given a massive opportunity there (latest stint). He started 2 games and played a combined 277 minutes. You're unlikely to see the best of somebody who plays the equivalent of 3 full games in 6 months. Nobody can deny his goalscoring record at the top level is pretty impressive. Hopefully he comes fit and with a point to prove.
| Tammy Abraham on 13:24 - Aug 27 with 1103 views | Simonds92 | Think I must be the only one not getting carried away with this signing. He's OK, it's a decentish signing but he's never been anywhere near as good as the hype around him. Lots of strikers out there who would be preferable. | | | |

You’ve got to get someone else in as we couldn’t rely solely on Emersonn, a loan makes plenty of sense, he will also be playing for his future on another team so a good opportunity for him.

Ueda and Flemming should be possible and have shown better form that Abraham of late. Beyond that...

Ahem :) Saying that, if it were Tammy in his prime we wouldn't be anywhere near getting him in, you gotta be realistic.

If he can find anything close to the form he's shown previously in his career it could be a very shrewd addition, and de-risked our financial commitment beyond this season with it being a straight loan. He's scored 15 goals in a premier league season for Chelsea, 17 for Roma in a Serie A season, about 50 goals in 80 games at Champ level, England caps, and even last season where he was barely used he managed a goal every 1.5 games. And he's still only 28. I think it's a very shrewd addition.
