What has slipping got to do with ability?

Nothing. He was excellent a week ago and had a great first half. He’s a cracking player.

Still, haters gotta hate, I suppose.

I thought one of our better players thought we were decent for almost a hour need another striker if Emersonn out for long we are in trouble.

Why didn’t Davis clip the ball into the box. Everyone was up waiting for the ball.

Cost us the game. He’s not good enough.

I have to say, that's a very low intelligence opinion.

Oh well, these things happen. COYB.

In the championship he would have been fine making the slip but at this level you just get rolled over. Fine margins.

Actually, I think most Championship sides would have taken advantage of it. Certainly the better ones, including ourselves last year. It’s just in PL it’s 100% certain you will pay.

It was just one of those things. Sht happens n all that.

Fine margins indeed.
It had such a huge impact on the game. It was from this point forward that momentum shifted - our competitiveness seeped away and Man Us attacking play pulled us apart. In the championship we get over that slip and gain some control back over the game in the second half.

Against teams like this with the crowd buoyed, we lost composure and then you could see confidence draining away. Holding the lead into half time was going to be so important to get something from the game - and our players kew it.

In the prem those momentum shifts are brutal - before you know it you are 3-1 down and out of contention for a result. It’s what we know from the last time and it’s what Cov and Hull will come to know all too well.

And to cap it al, in the prem you just know against an established side referee bias will also hand the opposing team some opportunities to shift momentum in their favour without your own mistakes. It is a brutal adjustment when transitioning from the championship.

If the throw in had been given to united, as most players and myself thought at the time then it would never have happened either, small margins

No posting history before this weekend and nothing positive to say in any of their posts. Says it all really.

When will you either returning banned posters / budgies learn that you HAVE to be more subtle when you start posting?

You can't come blazing in being so obvious a prick in your first weekend or you'll be gone by Liverpool - come on man, do better.

I guess you came to the same conclusion over that Gerrard lad too?

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

That’s a tricky one. He was great, iconic even, in Jean de Florette. But then woeful in United Passions and of course had those allegations of mistreating women. It just shows you shouldn’t judge on one performance.

An annoying sub plot to this slip was the bizarre throw in sequence that led up to it. United should have booted it clear or been on possession but I think they thought it was a foul throw and let it roll out for it to be out ball again. Came directly from that.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?
