We definitely need to be more resilient in those moments that went against us. The confidence just drained out of us. Easier said than done but we need to be tighter and more stoic in those moments to stop games slipping away. This won't be a huge setback on its own though. |  | | |

3 goals were unfortunate, slip from Nunez, handball/deflected own goal and double deflection for the Fernandez hat trick. Without a doubt the handball goal distracted the team for a 15 minute period. We kept going and scored the last goal.

We've certainly seen that movie before in terms of conceding in clusters, although I suspect if Luis or even Matusiwa are fit then we managed to tighten up in the middle rather more than we did. The distances were all wrong and a side with several top-class tools to exploit them certainly did. The real test of a new side will come when it's lost three or four on the bounce and needs a result – but it does feel different to me this time and we showed a lot of personality and quality for 50 minutes of that game, probably more than in any away fixture two years ago. I think we have to remember that, understand it's still early and take the big positives that we saw. | |

However, some obvious concerns about how quickly it went south and conceding 5 in a half, despite the opposition. Hopefully not too many more of them kind of results, as it can dent confidence.

You forget that two years ago we never had control of the basics most games from the start. There was literally no midfield. Today the midfield fell away after half time. At least we had one.
It needs to be better. It’s no good moaning about the defence if you cannot hold the ball in the middle of the park and/or up front - which we didn’t.

Totally correct.
We lost/dropped out heads following that second goal for them and perhaps even going back to conceding the equaliser as it was such a body blow conceding like that after the way we had been playing.
However, for most of the game we were competitive. Generally if we play like that we stand a good chance. | |
