The Vaults was right next to Mannings but slightly underground, hence the name...The Crown and Anchor was just along from Debenhams and closed down to become W H Smiths.

I think it was previously known as the White Swan.

I practically grew up in those pubs in the 80's. It's weird to think I probably know half the people on this site.

I've had a beer or two in there with Warky1970, Bojk and Burer. Sitters may have been there but it was that long ago he was probably in the garden with a bottle of pop and a packet of crisps whilst the grown ups were drinking.
