| Is this stupid long international break the norm now? 11:37 - Oct 6 with 1665 views | Dubtractor | It feels like it has completely killed the momentum of the season. Can imagine there will be some odd performances and results at the weekend. Who decided that a break like this was a good idea? It certainly can't be liked by many clubs or supporters. | |

I for one think its worked really well. Players traveling thousands of miles, playing every 3 or 4 days. I expect we will see all internationals comming back refreshed and ready to go.

| Is this stupid long international break the norm now? on 11:59 - Oct 6 with 1554 views | SWLondonBlue93 | Maybe I am in the minority, but I prefer having longer and fewer breaks to the previous schedule, where there was a break in each of September, October and November. This one has come a bit early for my liking but I think the way it has been scheduled this season is less disruptive overall. [Post edited 6 Oct 11:59]

Won't that be entertaining/good? This one hasn't been too bad for me, probably helped by the Man City scandal, otherwise it would have been dull. But the alternative is have multiple smaller breaks which people don't like either. And ultimately national teams need to have time outside of tournaments to play together. If we want to finally win a major tournament these breaks should only help. I wouldn't say I enjoy them however.

There was discussions not that long ago about having a winters break similar to some of the other leagues but I suspect global warming has put the end to that idea in this country 😂

Peas could be an alternative to Parsnips. Not everyone likes parsnips (I do, but you need to think of others). How many people don't like peas? Can't be as many as don't like parsnips?

The stupid thing is I guarantee all those moaning about it now, would moan about constant interruptions instead with the old setup We had what in 2024/25 3games before the first break, then 4 games before the 2nd break then another 4 games before the 3rd So many on here complained at the time, that meant we could never build momentum, we were always coming back having to restart. With this setup we got 5 games before this break then we get 5 more games and the next break and done for this year. Thats a much better setup. People are just moaning because theyre bored, probably bored of not being able to moan about players or games or whatever passes their time
| Is this stupid long international break the norm now? on 20:10 - Oct 6 with 848 views | Mark | Yes, I am afaird so. We should scrap the Nations League, and just spread out the Euro and World Cup qualifiers more. Those and the occasional friendly are all we need. | | | |
| Is this stupid long international break the norm now? on 21:32 - Oct 6 with 762 views | J2BLUE | I supported it when it was announced purely because it took away the September break which always feels like it comes too soon. Reality has now hit though and it has been a long three weeks. We should just scrap the September break and keep the others at two weeks. I'm sure we can lose a couple of friendlies from somewhere. | | | |

I’m enjoying the mini break. Regular matches can get a bit of a slog (and expensive). We’ve had 6 weeks back at it to scratch the summer itch and then time to get out for weekends doing other stuff while the weather’s still good. Then back to it for the run in until the hectic Christmas schedule. It suits me.

I like snow peas, all the others are meh. Hard to beat a well roasted caramelised parsnip in meat juices and herbs though. "One man's treasure is another ones trash"
