Me too. I’m normally very resistant to change, but I do like the new mini-badge

| If the owners tried to change the badge.... on 14:55 - Oct 22 with 418 views | Billywitch | its changed twice already in the past. Its not the end of the world, and we'd soon get used to it. As long as the Suffolk punch and ball remains, in its same format, I wouldn't care too much | | | |
| If the owners tried to change the badge.... on 18:02 - Oct 22 with 345 views | Mark | I am totally against changing the badge, and if ever they considered that they must do a full consultation with fans. I dislike all the dumbed down modern badges that clubs are choosing over their traditional ones, and I particularly dislike when they chop and change badges, using just part of the badge or a silhouette. I think we should always wear the proper badge with pride every time we walk onto the football pitch. We should also play in blue and white wherever possible. [Post edited 22 Oct 19:56]

I wouldn't mind either way.

| If the owners tried to change the badge.... on 10:19 - Oct 22 by Mookamoo | If it included a long term commitment to support the Suffolk Punch and a breeding programme, then go for it. Just a few pence from each shirt sale to go to the Trust https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/art [Post edited 22 Oct 11:22]

Ah yes, my cousin was very well known for breeding them a few decades ago and helping to keep the breed alive. Good idea.

| If the owners tried to change the badge.... on 11:46 - Oct 22 by Yppswyche | This has already happened. The simplified Suffolk Punch and ball is used just as much if not more than the full badge by the club digitally, and now encroaching onto the stadium and training ground, and indeed the third shirt. I would assume they’ll settle on this dual logo system to avoid upsetting the fans while still being able to use the simplified logo for wider brand recognition. As badge redesigns/simplifications go it’s a decent one, and been cleverly implemented with its gradual roll out, but then I prefer the old yellow badge to the current red one so not as wedded to the current official badge as some. |
Agree, the broader simplification of badges is driven by technology, and the need to have a unique symbol to represent a club that fits into a phone app icon.

This is the correct answer.

This is where I’m at with it. I actually liked the original badge that predated the yellow bordered current one. I understand the need to simplify the badge for digital reasons and I quite like the simplified version. Its distinctive. I hope they always keep the current full version for home kits, merchandise, flags etc but I doubt they will.
