Surely that's the last start for Philogene for a while 17:00 - Oct 31 with 1009 viewsGlasgowBlue

He has to show it coming off the bench before getting another start. He was completely anonymous again. With all of our first half possession we could have been out of sight with a fully functioning left sided attacker.

Antisemites, Jew haters and crashing bores will be put on ignore.

I have no idea how he is starting at the moment…

In mitigation the game was way more open when Clarke came on, but he offered so much more

Hope so. He offers nothing right now. Im not sure hes PL quality in all honesty.

Clarke and Maeda are both flawed players but they also bring something to the table and both should be well ahead of Jaden.

Thing is what a massive contrast to the last few years. When he starts we seem to have nothing happing down the left. We repeatedly attacked down the right.

Hull right back won’t have an easier game this season.

He was never meant to be our starting striker this season.

He's done well considering.

Strange one. Reminds me of Football Manager when you've had to promise a player regular football to stop them leaving.

Running is the difference, Jaden is very pedetrian when you need players prepared to stretch teams

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Though Flemming hasn't really made his mark from the bench and we have few other options. Whereas we do when it comes to Philogene.

I actually think Emmerson is doing quite well considering. Wish I could say the thing for Jaden.

Totally agree with the OP and would also like to see Flemming start, Emersonn is good but still young, we need to try Flemming from the start, he's not getting enough time/ opportunities coming on for the last 20, did well at Burnley in a crap team.
Would also be interesting seeing Emersonn coming on for the last 20

Yep I’m not sure we tried to buy anyone a law did we. Apart from Fleming. Who if he is the starting striker should be given a game maybe. He’s not really been given much time in a league game to show what he is about (compared to the time being afforded philo for instance)

I think Emersonn is doing ok. But I definitely feel the front 4 is a stringer unit and plays better together as him + Enciso, Clarke and Maede
Both Fatawu and philo have not really made a lot happen recently,

I think Clarke is a great impact sub. I'd start Maeda on the left. His workrate is second to none and in those early games he freed up a lot of space for Davis.

Not starting with Maeda is baffling, we're causing our own problems. Scherpen will have to come back in goal.

He's really quite an intriguing footballer. And by intriguing, I mean infuriating.

He's clearly an athlete, has running power and an engine. I refuse to believe he doesn't have a turn of pace, but we never see it in an attacking sense. He almost never tries to beat a full back on the outside, which is bizarre considering how good his left foot can be...just ask Norwich.

Need to try and get him more shooting opportunities, that's when you'll see his worth. When he's wide he doesn't seem to have enough quality to really cause defenders problems, and he offers so little conviction in a lot of things he does. Too many touches a lot of the time.

Tammy A from Villa.

Philogene offered nothing. He’s a trickster but he hasn’t got the physicality nor the pace to cause problems at this level. Sadly he offers nothing defensively either.
