Bought a ticket for Leeds at £37. THIRTY SEVEN POUNDS, not to mention the train fare and the fact that we'll likely get slaughtered.

What was I thinking?!?

Fair play to you, I'll be there too.

£37 for 90 minutes of championship football is absolutely insane. I know it's no longer surprising but it's just completely mental when you actually think about it.

£37!!!

Looking at a hundred notes for the whole day. I could get bangers and mash for that!

And they'd be a lot more enjoyable than the football I imagine.

The plus side is we're meeting a mate who lives up north and we don't see too often. Even so, it's a lot to watch Championship footy.

Yeah, it is mad but in many ways following a football team is irrational with no guarenteed gratification. We still all do it though.

But Leeds, robbing scumbags.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it £37 because we charge them £37 at PR? Or has that changed?

Even last season our standard away price was 'only' £32.50, if I remember rightly. They're one of the clubs who have refused to go with the £25 price cap.

No Reciprocal Away Price Cap With Leeds 30th Aug 2017 13:31
Leeds United are among the clubs not taking part in Town’s £25 reciprocal away ticket price cap initiative with adult prices for the game at Elland Road on Saturday 23rd September having been set at £37. 25

I'm only really going coz my mate who lives up north asked. An excuse to meet up for a few beers. I wouldn't be shelling out that much for a Championship footy match otherwise.

I'm in two minds. One of my closest games, and in reality one of the cheaper days out for me when factoring travel etc. However, I don't want to send a message to clubs that it's ok to charge these sums to fans, and the only way they will learn is through people dropping off.... but then again how much of a difference would one fan make?

Still could be worse... an adult ticket in Sheffield Wednesday's South Stand for their upcoming derby is £49!

I must admit I'ma bit concerned we'll get a hiding there as Leeds have looked very decent when I've seen them on the box. Had a result with the train tickets £23.50 from Peterborough, getting there about at 1130 and on the 815pm train back.

I've got a feeling Sunday might be a bit of an ordeal.
