Grant Ward at wing back on 14:33 - Apr 14 with 4040 views | Trequartista | Much more suited than Spence or Iorfa to a wing-back role. Hopefully we've seen the last of big centre-backs lumbering down the wing.

Iorfa can play the wing-back role, Ward probably better on the ball than both Spence and the Wolves man and provides that attacking threat too!

Yep, lots of work to do defensively. He got caught wrong side for the penalty (although there wasn't a lot of contact, he was looking for it) and he lost his man for the winner. I like Ward though, but he's at the stage now where he needs to be nailing down a place in the side.

If he goes in the Summer I think that will adversely affect our results more than MM going.

That was pretty terrible. Lucky it was straight at Bart.

Grant Ward at wing back on 19:21 - Apr 14 with 3438 views | Vic | Just watched the highlights - he may well have a career in that position, but he’ll need to improve an awful lot! He didn’t look like he’d played there before. Don’t like to be negative today, but that was really poor defending. But I loved that he, Nydam, Morris, ke lock, etc all got a game.

Grant Ward at wing back on 21:09 - Apr 14 with 3324 views | Mullet | Not based on today. Great going forward, but zero defensive awareness, nearly gave a goal away early doors. Silly penalty. He and Spence were on different wavelengths completely. He was excellent going forward though and with better work on his vision/final ball will deliver on that potential he has. There's a player in there. I think WB is a poor shout given his natural tendencies and ability.

Said earlier, it was ironic the first thing Klug did was put a winger at RWB, when MM’s first act was to move Edwards away from RB to RW. I’d rather we found a real RB/RWB and let Ward do his natural thing From Klug’s comments, sounds like Cotter was close to playing today and definitely will be next week vs Villa, so this might have been a one off.
