Signings like Bajner, Henshall, Digby, Best, Polish Pete and Coke. Don't confuse quantity with quality. He didn't have much of a budget. This is a fact.

Ipswich have been in the Championship more recently than he has so not sure that's a totally valid argument. Plenty of Championship clubs could have had him if they'd wanted. He's a better manager than Lambert but it's not like he could just walk into a Championship club. If he was as good a manager as some seem to believe he'd be in a job right now. |  |
