He certainly got a great reception from Stoke fans when he went back there with us so it did appear that he was well liked there.

Norwood had a falling out with Lambert last season and has wanted out since then, the club has been trying to engineer a move over the last few weeks. Everyone knows about it, Tranmere Rovers fans have been talking about it for months. It's very real.
Wolfie basically had a dig at PR Paul in public yesterday before he took the post down. Nothing to that I am sure....

I think ignoring these "snippets" amounts to little more than burying one's head in the sand to be honest. He's in the bunker and his days here are numbered because he won't be able to motivate this side to play for him, it's clearly an unhappy, disorganised camp, even Will Norris hinted as much.

Yeah, see, what you've done there is dream up your own version of events to fit your agenda, and then call them "facts".
The only bit of what you've posted for which there is anything even approaching evidence for is Woolfie, and it still seems unclear there whether Lambert was trying to motivate a player notorious for being so laid back he's falling over, or whether he was saying he needs to start games in order for us to get the best of him (to explain why he wasn't coming on off the bench).
There is enough to criticise Lambert for without making stuff up. | |

The only game Stoke conceded an injury time equaliser during his reign was away at West Ham. Had they won they would have still been in the relegation zone with 4 to play so hardly game changing, and besides late goals are part of football so rather bizarre spin to start arbitrarily changing results
As for doing a good job, his record at Stoke read P15, W2, D7, L6 - ppg0.866. Prior time joining they had P23, W5, D5, L13-0.869ppg. So whilst they lost less under him they actually picked up less points
He also took them from 18th in the table and one point from safety to finished 19th 3 points adrift of safety. And that was only due to a win in a dead rubber against also relegated Swansea on the final day having already limped feebly to relegation (sound familiar?)

I think Charlie Adam was particularly critical of PL. I remember reading that players weren't particularly happy with the double standards applied to Shaqiri and that many players in the squad didn't feel respected.
