I’ve said this before, but I genuinely belief he’s content if we stay in L1 as the outlay will be a lot cheaper and he can probably manage the debt easier. Throw in the salary cap and you can see that as an owner losing money, remaining in L1 would be a more attractive option than getting promotion. Look how much he’d have to invest in this squad to make us remotely competitive in the Championship, that would take significant funds from ME’s very deep pockets. | |
