Bournemouth sack Jason Tindall 08:13 - Feb 3 with 3062 viewsTractorCam

After losing 4 games in a row and dropping to 6th.

Quick acting from their owner.

Or the more likely, they've been found out and have acted before they fall further (See Ipswich 2019/20, 2020/21)

So falling to 6th place after challenging in the top 2 at the start of the season with one of the biggest budgets in the league isn't good enough, but falling to 11th place after challenging in the top 2 at the start of the season with one of the biggest budgets in the league is great?

Definitely Howe. He won’t manage anywhere else.

Who knows what's going on but there's quick acting, and then there's just being ridiculous. The blokes been there 6 months, they're 6th in the league and in the FA Cup 5th round. At least let him at least have the rest of the season and see how it plays out.

Reading their reports / forum they are the Championship equivalent of us:

Talented players who are badly underperforming

Baffling tactics

Pass pass pass in areas that don't hurt

Catastrophic mistakes

Few chances created

The difference is - they have decided to act.

I just don't see the point of Bournemouth at that level.
5 seasons in the Premier League and they still don't seem to have any ability to get more than 12k supporters.

I'd suggest Lampard's ego will prevent him going there after Chelsea.

Although with Redknapp's influence still there at Bournemouth, who knows.

Yes - you'd imagine they are very much in must get promoted territory.

And the reason they won't is the money in the PL.

Especially with the potential of a cap coming in next season in some form in the Championship.

They were the same under Howe too, especially in the last 12 months.

Why appointing his No.2 when he did most of the coaching anyway was probably always going to fail!

It’s almost like they have an astronomically high wages/turnover ratio when PL TV money is removed which means that failing to go straight back up will leave them fully in the sh*t

They should have sacked Howe during last season but failed to act, same as Town with Burley when in the Prem, and that resulted in relegation. Learning from their mistake last season and acting quickly now
