Ok hear my out, and I get that i may be wayyyyyyyyyy off with this but, just read the transcript of the Gill interview after the game

Now, is it me, or is it quite patronising the way gill goes on about 'The Manager' rather than 'Paul'

Is that just me? It just seems rather odd

Actually just thought of it another way

is he saying 'manager' as a comment to the players that 'he's in charge not you' type of thing

I dunno, I just don't think i've heard coaches etc say manager,it's usually first name terms

Patronising is completely the wrong word.

"Manager" is a term of respect. "Paul" is the less respectful, informal address.

Many players talk about "the gaffer". Nothing in this.

No, literally just going by the transcript, that's why I was asking as as far as I was aware he'd never spoke of 'the manager'

I do like Gill, but he's off soon.

I used to teach kids like you. They never had a day off - mainly because their parents couldn't stand the thought of them being at home. On the go the whole time. Incessantly. Just saying...

Cook inherited Gill & the likelihood is that if Cook stays, he will want to bring in some more of his own people. So I can understand Gill referring to him as "the manager" as they won't be best mates.

I have had disagreements with CM, but don't start ganging up on him. If you used to be a teacher you should know better than that.

At least you're learning from me.

Happy to agree to differ if your stance is that it's ok to gang up.

In my view ganging up and bullying is a sign of weak people.

But, agree to disagree.

Go for it. We disagree a lot but I like people who care and show passion. Gets a bit tedious people posting how above it all they are or how it will be "hilarious" next time something goes wrong.

Don't change.

Emerged from somewhere on Bonfire Night, last year.
Those awful whining fireworks usually fizzle out with a weak ‘fffftt’ 20 seconds later.
Unfortunately, he hasn’t.

Or...
The bloke takes a perverse pleasure in knowing his incessant, scattergun posting makes the board a nightmare and does not respond to polite entreaties from a number of posters (far more noteworthy and considered than I) to moderate this.

Which is his call and fair enough - but some backlash isn't unreasonable.

Feel free to agree to disagree.
